The aim of this research is to analyze students' mathematical literacy skills in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. Data were collected through test of mathematical literacy. The test instrument is based on indicators of mathematical literacy ability and has fulfilled the criteria of validity and reliability. The data was analyzed descriptively. This study involved 68 seventh grade students at a state junior high school in Lampung. The research subject were determined purposively by considering the teacher's suggestions and initial analysis. The results showed that students' mathematical literacy skills in online learning were still low, which was indicated by the average score of the students' mathematical literacy ability test, which was 46.46 and the number of students who had scores below the average of 67.64%. Meanwhile, the percentage of achievement on each indicator is also still low. The answers given by students showed that, as many as 89,07% of students still had difficulty in choosing and comparing strategies to obtain solutions, 64,06% of students had difficulty in using reasoning to relate the information obtained from a problem with the concepts they already had, and as many as 78,12% of students have difficulty in using or manipulating formulas or procedures in solving contextual problems. Given how important mathematical literacy skills are, a teacher must be able to design lessons so that they can help students develop mathematical literacy skills.
This research aims to determine the improvement of students’ mathematical creative thinking ability through Problem Centered Learning (PCL) approach. This research is a quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent research design. The population of this research were the eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri in Bandung. The sample of this research was determined by purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 62 students who were divided into two classes, experimental class and control class. The experimental class uses the PCL approach, while the control class uses conventional learning. Each class consists of 31 students. The data of students’ mathematical creative thinking ability were obtained by using test techniques. The improvement was proven by n-gain value of students’ pre-test and post-test. The conclusions obtained from the data analysis and discussion, there is a significant difference in the improvement mathematical creative thinking ability between high EMA in the PCL group and medium EMA in conventional learning. Based on EMA, PCL can be applied in high EMA classes. While students with medium and low EMA need further research so that students’ mathematical abilities can be improved by PCL.
This research aimed to find out the differences of the improvement of students mathematical creative thingking skill using open ended. This research used quasi experimental method whith pretest-posttest control group. The subjects of this research were 60 students at class VII in one of the MTs in Bandar Lampung city. There are two classess in this study namely the experimental class consisted of 30 students getting open ended learning models and the second control class consisted of student getting scientific approach. The instrument of this study used student creative thingking skill test, based on mathematical creative thingking indicator. The result of this study showed all of improvement of mathematical creative thingking students ability getting open ended learning model was not better then students getting scientific approach.
