The Covid-19 pandemic has affected tourism sectors, for example, resulting in social restrictions and travel restrictions. The declining number of tourists visiting tourist destinations has impacted cities for tourists including Surabaya. This paper aimed to analyze the Surabaya people's desire to make a leisure trip during the pandemic. A total of 121 questionnaires from 500 distributed ones which met the criteria were analyzed. The findings showed that the majority of Surabaya's residents had no intention of traveling during the pandemic as the Surabaya government implemented many travel restrictions, including large-scale social restrictions (LSSR) several times. The travel restrictions reduced the chance for traveling out of and into the Surabaya areas. The results of the questionnaires showed that green tourism would be the most chosen tourist destination by the respondents to visit if the pandemic calmed down. Culinary tours were placed in the second rank, followed by marine tourism and religious tourism. Suggestions for further research are that the government can provide more massive counseling about the importance of maintaining cleanliness. For instance, it needs to promote changing masks regularly and educating the public about the importance of Cleanliness Health Environment and Safety (CHSE) applied by all tourist destinations and other public places.
Background: Until now, the COVID-19 pandemic has become a world health problem, including in Indonesia. To break the chain of transmission of the virus, the immune system and body hygiene must be maintained Objective: The purpose of this campaign is to transferred knowledge and technology to PKK group partners in Kedungsukodani Village regarding the use of eucalyptus leaves to produce natural Hand Sanitizer products and processed telang flowers into instant drinks in the form of powder that can be used daily. Method: The method used is socialization, training and mentoring Results: This activity has been carried out for one day and was attended by 30 participants, at the Kedungsukodani Village Hall in accordance with health protocols in the new normal era by paying attention to 3M. Conclusion: With the implementation of this campaign, participants can practice the knowledge that has been taught in their respective homes. It is hoped that the participants will care and help the process of handling COVID-19.
Background: Musculoskeletal disorders or MSDs are symptoms of muscle pain that can occur due to an incorrect position when doing work. One of the efforts to reduce the symptoms of muscle pain due to the wrong working position is acupressure massage. Acupressure is a complementary therapy and alternative therapy that has no side effects and can be used to reduce acute and chronic pain. Contains a brief background on research/ community service activities that are used as journal articles. Objective: This activity is carried out to increase understanding, knowledge, and awareness of the community, especially farmer groups about the risk of MSD symptoms and efforts to reduce pain complaints due to MSD symptoms. Method: methods of activities carried out in this community service include: 1) Pre-Activity; 2) Implementation of activities; 3) Evaluation of activities. The method used is a combination of counseling and direct practice to farmer groups. Results: improved understanding of MSDs symptoms and acupressure techniques was achieved. The knowledge of participants before receiving counseling on average was 50.0. However, participants' knowledge increased significantly after receiving counseling, which was 67.6 eligible. Conclusion: this program provides increased knowledge and understanding of MSDs and acupressure techniques in onion farmer groups.
Background: Physical exercise has been known that is one of the ways to evoke mechanical stimulation that can cause the change of the "strain". The "strain" itself allows the converted mechanical signal to be a biochemistry that can produce a biological response to bone cells. Objective: To show what the effect of physical exercise of sub maximal intensity through "osteocyte signaling" towards "osteocyte apoptosis". Methods: The researcher believes that the randomized posttest only control group design can solve the problem of this study. Moreover, 20 male white rats (experimental sample) were separated by the researcher into the control group and a group that did physical exercise of sub maximal intensity. The exercise was swimming (exercise: load 6% and intensity 80% three times a week). Results: These show that a group that did physical exercise of submaximal intensity (8.60 ± 3.27) lower than the control group (28.60 ± 6.20), and in terms of an independent sample test (osteocyte apoptosis), they show that there is a significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.000). Conclusion: a group has "osteocyte signaling" can obstruct the group (male white rats) has osteocyte apoptosis.
