The Intensive Care Units (ICU) were developed to provide assistance to people in critical condition, being reformulated by the National Humanization Policy (PNH), also called HumanizaSUS, reorganizing health care practices, in order to consider the uniqueness, the multidimensionality and the social context of the patient and his family. Being a humanization defined as a set of actions to qualify a complete assistance, valuing care as the main basis. This study aimed to analyze the scientific contributions on the humanization of care in the Intensive Care Unit, during the period from 2000 to 2012. This is an integrative review of the literature, which allows the realization of scientific knowledge, based on previous studies conducted. Online searches were performed at the Virtual Health Library, Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and LILACS (Latin American Literature). Counting with 10 productions, analyzed with an instrument created by the researcher herself. The results showed that the humanization of care contributes significantly to the recovery of the patient in the Intensive Care Unit. However, there are difficulties to overcome, related to issues of the patient and his / her family, the nursing team and health institutions. There is a need for training and awareness of professionals to improve care for critically ill patients.
This study is a bibliographic, descriptive, exploratory and qualitative research. The research took place in July and August, 2021, in the following databases: LILACS (Latin American Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences), MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online) and BDENF (Bibliographic Database Specialized in the Nursing Area. The following descriptors were used: Nursing; Urgency; Emergency and Assistance, according to the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) crossed by the Boolean operator “AND.” The study gathered 11 articles in its final sample. emergency care (UPA), the nurse is the foundation of the urgency and emergency service together with his team. The nursing professional has a dual-dimensional work, care and management, which are focused on the individual and the collective.
Aiming at the importance of the nurse in the different directions and health care, studies point out the daily challenge of nursing professionals in relation to the importance of considering genetic aspects and in the care of patients with rare genetic diseases, such as Progressive Ossificans Fibrodysplasia (FOP) which is a rare genetic disease that stimulates the formation of bones inside the muscles, tendons, ligaments and other connective tissues progressively restricting movements, causing too much nursing care. This study aims to broaden the nurses’ knowledge about Fibrodysplasia Ossificante Progressiva (FOP), in addition to reporting the main difficulties in the care of patients with FOP; and discussing the importance of appropriate care for the carrier of this rare genetic disease by drawing up a qualified care plan. It is a research of the type bibliographic research of explanatory-descriptive character with qualitative approach, based on bibliographical reviews. According to the material analyzed, it is observed the importance of nurses’ knowledge regarding the disease and its respective treatments and types of care, and for this it is necessary that they have an adequate basis from a knowledge directed through courses, qualifications, lectures and qualified theoretical background. Consequently, in order to perform good care, nurses should guide their team about the best way to assist the patient, making it clear that there is a great challenge when it comes to the unusual, in order to show that it is possible to guarantee correct assistance for these patients.
The health of the LBTQIA+ public deserves care and respect in a multiprofessional way, therefore, this study brought a reflection on the theme, in an integral and systematic way, from the reading of several theoretical materials. Health education seeks to improve its professionals regarding the LGBTQIA+ population, thus ensuring access to health in a humanized way, where it aims to guarantee priorities such as the eradication of discrimination in health services and improve the quality of care and services provided.
During prenatal care, professionals should request laboratory tests immediately, seeking to identify cases of viral and/or bacterial infections that bring future complications or are transmitted vertically to the fetus. Reflection study, built in 2022, from reading articles, abstracts and books. It was noticed that routine laboratory tests in prenatal care are of paramount importance and must be requested according to the guidelines protocol in the first consultation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
