University education in Peru shows large academic gaps to close, however, the sociopolitical crisis exacerbated by the pandemic, is presented not only as a hated historical context, but also as an opportunity to develop by knowing with greater emphasis the academic problems. In this sense, the objective of this essay is to propose and question some Peruvian educational policies with the purpose of enriching the contemporary debate and taking urgent measures for the university improvement of the country. These proposals were made possible thanks to the hermeneutic methodological adoption that broadened the scope of study, allowing some ideas to be proposed thanks to the impact scientific readings. The proposed thesis is to articulate political interests with social ones to achieve a quality university education with an international vision, making innovative use of digital tools and the construction of a new teaching face. The work concludes that there is no greater harm to the university sector than personal interests and political struggles, since this weakens and delays scientific innovation in the sector and makes sustained development impossible.
