Hoax management is a significant factor in maintaining government stability. Public Relations is necessary to respond and manage current developing issues, especially during the current era of information. Public satisfaction is dependant on how the government manages issues and ultimately increase public trust. This research employed the qualitative approach, i.e., case study research method, which describes researches carried out intensively in great detail and depth. The data were collected through unstructured observations, interviews, and documentation. This research investigated the Communication Excellence Theory proposed by Grunig and Hunt, which illustrate the symbolic processes of understanding human behaviour within an organisation. This research also studied how the concept of public relations strategies is implemented in solving the cases mentioned in this study. The results of the analysis found that, for the Presidential Staff Office, social media was essential in establishing an effective government public relations as well as to manage public issues.
This study is a public relations inquiry that aims to describe the use of social media by govern-ment public relations to bridge the digital divide that affects people with social welfare prob-lems. The research, unlike most public relations studies that by and large, focus on organiza-tional image, reputation, communication crisis, and transparency, uses the digital divide per-spective. The research uses Grunig and Hunt Public Relations model and Melvin De Fleur com-munication model perspectives to examine the communication processes that occur through government public relations social media. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach to assess the communication conducted by informants. The results showed that government pub-lic relations communication through social media has not been fully able to bridge the digital divide, especially in rural areas. The digital divide creates three relates problems that affect the effectiveness of government communication with people that experience social welfare problem. Firstly, pattern of communication involves opinion leaders. Secondly, most feedback occurs in-directly while ideally, it should be direct. Thirdly, the flow of information takes place in either one or two steps, in contrast with the ideal, which should be in one step.
Utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has touched various areas of life including the health sector. Telemedicine as a result of the progress of ICT is very much used by midwives (users) as the spearhead of health services, especially for disadvantaged / remote areas. Midwives in remote areas as beneficiaries and use of ICT. So the aim of this study was to identify behavioral factors of Telemedicine users. The research strategy used was a case study in an underdeveloped area of Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara where the mortality rate for pregnant women born was high compared to the mortality rate for pregnant women in other regions in Indonesia. This qualitative research uses in-depth interviews. The results showed that the factors of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions varied greatly. Apart from these factors, it was also found in this study that the diversity of the midwives' level of understanding on telemedicine was highly dependent on the socialization process carried out by the local government.
The growth of Generation Z that began to enliven the labor market was noted by Badan Pusat Statistik that as of August 2018 the total Generation Z workforce reached 13.5% of the total workforce in Indonesia, which in 2020 is predicted to reach 20%. Generation Z who is now starting to color the job market was born in a time when internet technology was in great development, so they have several characteristics that are different from previous generations. The different characteristics between Generation Z and previous generations creates new challenges for companies in managing organizational communication, consists of internal communication. Company or organization have to face this generation who is very virtual and superficial in building a relationship, for communication between employee has a strong correlation with the success of the organization. Besides internal communication, Generation Z employees need leaders who can connect with them and inspire them to big goals. Therefore, study analyzes the relationship between transformational leadership style and internal communication with the employee performance of Generation Z in Tech Company. This research uses quantitative research methods with multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study finds a significant relationship between transformational leadership style and internal communication with the employee performance of Generation Z in Tokopedia.Pusat Statistik bahwa pada Agustus 2018 total angkatan kerja Generasi Z mencapai 13,5% dari total angkatan kerja di Indonesia, yang pada 2020 diprediksi mencapai 20%. Generasi Z yang kini mulai mewarnai pasar kerja lahir pada masa ketika teknologi internet sedang berkembang pesat, sehingga mereka memiliki beberapa karakteristik yang berbeda dari generasi sebelumnya. Perbedaan ciri khas antara Generasi Z dan generasi sebelumnya menciptakan tantangan baru bagi perusahaan dalam mengelola komunikasi organisasi, yang terdiri dari komunikasi internal. Perusahaan atau organisasi harus menghadapi generasi ini yang sangat virtual dan superfisial dalam membangun hubungan, karena komunikasi antar karyawan memiliki korelasi yang kuat dengan keberhasilan organisasi. Selain komunikasi internal, karyawan Generasi Z membutuhkan pemimpin yang dapat terhubung dengan mereka dan menginspirasi mereka untuk mencapai tujuan besar. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan komunikasi internal dengan kinerja karyawan Generasi Z pada Tech Company. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis koefisien korelasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan komunikasi internal dengan kinerja karyawan Generasi Z di Tokopedia.
The objective of this paper is to assess government reputation management performance by lev-eraging Big Data technology, internet, and public relations capacity, in particular creating credible information for the public. The research used a case study methodology on Indonesi-aBaik.id management for the period between 13th September to 13th October, 2017. The focus of the research was on the degree to which big data processing influenced communication, pub-lic persuasion, and content. Research techniques used to collect data including in-depth inter-views, observation, and literature review through elated techniques. Research findings indicate that effective Big Data processing is underpinned by quality data analysis and creative content development skills. This research contributes to knowledge on the application of online reputa-tion management processes for public relations officials and general readers based on the four steps of management process by Cutlip as applied to reputation management analysis using Big Data technology effectiveness. Based on the result of the research the government reputation management practice should also followed by higher competence of the public relation officials especially on the skill of reputation management process and public persuasion skill, thus, the process of creating credible information can be done adequately.
