This research and development aims to develop and describe the feasibility and effectiveness of mathematics student worksheet based on pictorial riddle model in improving students' critical thinking skills. The type of research used is research and development that refers to the theory of Borg and Gall. The population of this study was fourth grade students of Elementary Schools in Bangunrejo. The study sample was 32 fourth grade students of Tanjung Jaya Public Elementary School 1 which were determined by purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through questionnaire sheets, observation sheets and test questions. The results of the study showed that the student worksheet based on pictorial riddle model was feasible, and effective for improving students' critical thinking skills. This study proposes to explore teachers’ perception, plan, implementation, and evaluation toward the use of Super Minds textbook in EFL Classroom. The study employed case study approach. Two teachers were selected to become participants in this study. The data were gathered through questionnaire, semi-structured interview, classroom observations, and document analysis. The result of this study revealed that both teachers had positive perception on the use of Super Minds textbook. That was indicated from their positive thoughts on their planning and implementation that Super Minds textbook became an effective and engaging learning source in the classroom. The two teachers planned the lesson using the topic and material from Super Minds textbook. Although the teachers’ did the same stages in planning, the plan was implemented and resulted in different ways. They used supplementary materials provided from the textbook package as their teaching aids for enhancing the students in the classroom. The two teachers are evaluated as good practitioners for students in using Super Minds textbook. All this result leads to the alignment between teachers’ perception, plans, implementation, and evaluation. It was proven by teachers’ positive perception on toward the use of Super Minds textbook reflected in their planning, actual implementation, and evaluation in the classroom. It was expected for further research to possibly continue this study by using another textbook in different level of students so that it will give another perspective.
Penyelenggaraan pendidikan anak usia dini di harapkan bisa menjadi langkah strategis untuk mewujudkan anak yang memiliki jiwa kompetitif. Dikotomi yang hadir dalam tubuh pendidikan anak usia dini, bisa menjadi pembatasan bagi stakeholder dalam memahami terkait dengan pendidikan anak usia dini. Dalam tulisan ini, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kajian pustaka, karena dianggap paling strategis untuk mengungkapkan gagasan-gagasan serta temuan dalam tulisan ini, untuk mendukung proses temuan dalam penelitian ini, maka diperlukan beberapa sumber rujukan serta literatur bacaan yang digunakan seperti buku-buku dan jurnal-jurnal elektronik yang berkaitan dengan variabel penelitian ini. Pembahasan ini memiliki hasil bahwasanya diperlukan sinerginitas yang baik antara peraturan pemerintah, masyarakat juga terlibat dalam kontrol/pengawasan, penilaian serta dalam pengambilan keputusan terhadap pelaksanaan kebijakan PAUD, sehingga pendidikan anak usia dini tidak mengalami dikotomi dari segi apa pun.
