A prominent place among the hematological parameters is occupied by the parameters of erythrocytes. They affect the processes of microcirculation, gas exchange, and metabolism. In this regard, it is of great interest to study changes in erythrocyte parameters in students who previously had low physical activity and started regular sports walking. The study was conducted on 39 young university students who had not previously played sports and experienced low physical activity during their lives. All of them started regular race walking workouts 4 times during the week. The control group consisted of 35 young male students who, for at least 4 years, systematically engaged in race walking at least 4 times a week. For the study, standard hematological, biochemical, and statistical methods of obtaining information were used. After 6 months of sports walking in the blood of previously low-trained young men, there was a normalization of the levels of arachidonic acid derivatives, a decrease in the content of cholesterol, and lipid peroxidation products in the membranes of erythrocytes, and an increase in the content of phospholipids in them. This was accompanied by an increase in the number of erythrocytes with a normal shape in the blood of those who began to engage in race walking and a decrease in the content of erythrocytes with a changed shape in it. The beginning of race walking after low physical activity is very useful in adolescence for the parameters that are significant for the implementation of blood circulation in the capillaries.
Office work is associated with movement restrictions, muscle stress, burnout and other risk factors that negatively affect the health of working - age people. The coronavirus epidemic has changed the labor market: neither employers nor employees were prepared to tackle the challenges of moving to remote work. Therefore, search for solutions to preserve health of remote workers in the context of self-isolation and digital transformation is a priority medical and social task. Pilot research for examination of the office-workers state included interviews, psychological, neurological tests and methods of instrumental visualization. The aim of the study was to identify the signs of the emotional impact of remote work and develop exercises to prevent physical inactivity, as well as technologies for monitoring of individuals’ health. The survey revealed that 80% of office workers have stress and burnout in an epidemic situation, as well as a loss of interest in work and professional achievements. Burnout was accompanied with increased irritability, sleep disorders. Neurological examination revealed muscle spasms and “tunnel” neurovascular disorders in the cervical spine and postural displacement in all persons. Electrophysiological research indicated cerebral acidosis and brain hypoxia in 50% of examined individuals. The programs for postural correction and cerebral metabolism included special coordination and breathing exercises. Recommendations to healthy lifestyle and workplace reorganization were given to all persons. Digital transformation is a challenge that requires changes in legal, organizational, psychological and infrastructural approaches to preserve the health of remote workers in the new environment.
Despite the prevalence of arterial hypertension among both sexes, there are data on the presence of gender diff erences in its formation and course. The purpose of the study: to identify gender characteristics in the clinical and biochemical status of patients suff ering from stage 1 and 2 of arterial hypertension.Material and methods. 80 patients of the second mature age with confi rmed arterial hypertension were examined. The patients were divided into 2 groups: the fi rst group consisted of 44 patients with stage 1 arterial hypertension (11 men and 33 women), the second group consisted of 36 patients with stage 2 disease (25 men and 11 women). All patients underwent a biochemical blood test; the glomerular fi ltration rate, the thickness of the Intima-media complex of the common carotid artery with the processing of the results by the Smirnov–Kolmogorov test were determined.Results. With the stage I arterial hypertension in both sexes, the level of blood pressure was corresponding to it. With stage II, the blood pressure in men corresponded to the level of the 1st stage, and in women to the level of the 2nd stage arterial hypertension. The level of total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in all cases exceeded the normal level, prevailing in both groups in women. This was accompanied by an imbalance in the levels of thromboxane B2 and 6-ketoprostaglandin F1α at stage I hypertension, which was more pronounced in women and increased with the higher stage of the disease. The glomerular fi ltration rate in men of both groups was intact. In women, it was reduced at the onset of the disease, and kept decreasing at stage II. The width of the intima-media complex in women prevailed over this indicator in men at stage I and further increased at stage II.Conclusion. From the start of the development of arterial hypertension, women have had more pronounced and faster progressive lipid, hemostatic, renal and sclerotic changes compared to men.
