Vertebrate and animal development subjects are covered in Zoology courses in the University of Palangka Raya which is learned in third and fourth semester. These subjects differ in content. Vertebrate course covers animal structure, while animal development course is more about the process of development. Today"s learning demands is to develop a critical thinking and build social interaction among students. Collaborative learning incorporating digital media through Lesson Study (LS) was implemented to improve learning outcomes in both subjects. Collaborative learning demands students to be self-minded, cooperative, and able to reveal thoughts mutually to their classmates to be employed for the above-mentioned purpose. The implementation of collaborative learning through LS was done with four cycles of "Plan, Do, and See" in Vertebrate and Animal Development subjects. These aimed to enhance student"s activities and critical thinking capabilities. The studied result showed improvement of activities in problem analysis stage, discussion and delivery of discussion results for zoology courses according to implementation of collaborative learning through LS cycles. Critical thinking capability of students was detected better in both subjects, mainly in the capability of conclusion drawing and presenting discussion results from assignments which were conducted by the aid of digital media. Collaborative learning incorporating digital media through LS could enhance activities and critical thinking capabilities of students.
The development of electronic learning materials is very necessary in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic which requires lecture activities to be carried out online. This was carried out to support physical distancing in an effort to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19. Currently, there are not many electronic learning materials available that lead to student centered learning (SCL) and can be implemented in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this research is to develop an eLEMA (Electronic Learning Material) application, an Android-based electronic learning material with content or material that can be accessed online and offline, and with features that make it easier for users to operate. This research is a research development (Research and Development; R & D) to develop Android-based ELEMA-SCL PROTOZOA (Electronic Learning Material-Student Centered Learning) for Zoology courses. This development model consists of 3 phases of approach, namely: (1) Phase 1: Needs Assessment; (2) Phase 2: Design; and (3) Phase 3: Develop / Implement. The product developed in the form of an Android-based eLEMA application made using the MIT App Inventor is feasible to implement. The implementation results show: (1) the effectiveness of online and offline lectures with a gain value of 0.52 in the Medium category; (2) student response to the implementation of eLEMA is positive. Thus the eLEMA application can be used for online and offline lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bahan organik sebagai media hidup yaitu tanah tanpa campuran pupuk kendang (P0/kontrol), Tanah 2 Kg + kotoran sapi 2 Kg (P1), Tanah 2 Kg + Kotoran kambing 2 Kg (P2), Tanah 2 Kg + Kotoran ayam 2 Kg (P3).
