AbstrakSalah satu zat yang terdapat dalam asap rokok adalah karbon monoksida yang sangat mudah berikatan dengan hemoglobin, sehingga tubuh mengalami hipoksia dan berusaha meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan hubungan derajat merokok berdasarkan Indeks Brinkman dengan kadar hemoglobin. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional study yang dilakukan terhadap pendonor darah di Palang Merah Indonesia cabang Padang. Jumlah subjek sebanyak 65 orang yang diambil secara accidental sampling dengan kriteria inklusi adalah perokok dan berjenis kelamin laki-laki. Data derajat merokok diperoleh melalui wawancara dan kadar hemoglobin diperiksa dengan menggunakan metode sianomethemoglobin. Hubungan antara derajat merokok dengan kadar hemoglobin digunakan uji statistik Anova, dengan nilai p<0,05. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rerata lama merokok responden 19,65 ± 10,95 tahun dan jumlah rokok yang dihisap perhari 19,28 ± 11,88 batang. Derajat perokok terbanyak adalah perokok ringan sebanyak 27 orang (41,5%). Rerata kadar hemoglobin responden adalah 15,47±1,41 gr/dl. Kesimpulan hasil studi ini ialah tidak didapatkan hubungan antara derajat merokok berdasarkan Indeks Brinkman dengan kadar hemoglobin.Kata kunci: derajat merokok, indeks Brinkman, kadar hemoglobin AbstractOne of the substances contained in cigarette smoke is carbon monoxide which is very easy to bind on hemoglobin, so the body gets hypoxia and strive to increase the levels hemoglobin. The objetive of this study was to determine the relationship between the degree of smoking based of Brinkman Index and hemoglobin levels.The design of this research was cross sectional study. Population were blood donors in Indonesian Red Cross Padang. The total samples of 65 people taken by accidental sampling with inclusion criteria was smoker and a male. The data degree of smoking got by interview and hemoglobin levels checked by using cyanmethemoglobin method. The relationship between the degree of smoking and hemoglobin levels used Anova statistical test, with p value <0.05.The result show that average smoking duration is 19.65 ± 10.95 years and the average of cigarrete that they smoke in a day was 19.28 ± 11.88 stems. Highest degree was mild smokers by 27 people (41.5%). The mean hemoglobin level was 15.47±1.41 gr/dl. AbstrakAsam urat (AU) merupakan produk akhir dari katabolisme adenin dan guanin yang berasal dari pemecahannukleotida purin. Urat dihasilkan oleh sel yang mengandung xanthine oxidase, terutama hepar dan usus kecil.Hiperurisemia adalah keadaan kadar asam urat dalam darah lebih dari 7,0 mg/dL.Pra diabetes adalah subjek yangmempunyai kadar glukosa plasma meningkat akan tetapi peningkatannya masih belum mencapai nilai minimaluntuk kriteria diagnosis diabetes melitus (DM). Glukosa darah puasa terganggu merupakan keadaan dimanapeningkatan kadar FPG≥100 mg/dL dan <126 mg/dL. Toleransi glukosa terganggu merupakan peningkatanglukosa plasma 2 jam setelah pembebanan 75 gram glukosa oral (≥140 mg/dL dan <200mg/dL) dengan FPG<126 mg/dL.Insulin juga berperan dalam meningkatkan reabsorpsi asam urat di tubuli proksimal ginjal. Sehinggapada keadaan hiperinsulinemia pada pra diabetes terjadi peningkatan reabsorpsi yang akan menyebabkanhiperurisemia. Impaired fasting blood glucose is a condition in which increased levels of FPG ≥ 100 mg / dL and<126 mg / dL. Impaired glucose tolerance is an increase in plasma glucose 2 hours after 75 gram oral glucose load(≥ 140 mg / dL and <200mg/dl) with FPG <126 mg / dL.Insulin also plays a role in increasing the reabsorption ofuric acid in renal proximal tubule. So that the hyperinsulinemia in the pre-diabetic condition increases thereabsorption of which will lead to hyperuricemia. AbstrakPenyakit paru obstruktif kronik (PPOK) ditandai oleh adanya hambatan aliran udara yang irreversibel dan bersifat progresif. Asap rokok, polusi udara, dan infeksi berulang pada saluran napas akan mengaktivasi makrofag alveolus dan melepaskan mediator inflamasi yang merangsang progenitor granulositik dan monositik di sumsum tulang sehingga mempengaruhi hitung jenis leukosit pada darah tepi. Faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi hitung jenis leukosit pada pasien PPOK adalah adanya penyakit penyerta. Desain penelitian ini adalah retrospektif deskriptif terhadap data rekam medik 69 orang yang dirawat di bagian paru dan penyakit dalam RSUP dr. M. Djamil Padang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pasien PPOK tanpa penyakit penyerta (n=9) memiliki nilai rata-rata hitung jenis basofil 0±0%, eosinofil 1,22±1,2%, neutrofil batang 3,33±2,5%, neutrofil segmen 79,56±9,26%, limfosit 13,67±6,55%, dan monosit 2,22±2,44%. Pada pasien PPOK dengan penyakit penyerta infeksi (n=41) didapatkan nilai rata-rata hitung jenis basofil 0±0%, eosinofil 1,02±1,59%, neutrofil batang 1,98±2,63%, neutrofil segmen 81,07±8,44%, limfosit 12,83±6,68%, dan monosit 3,1±2,71%. Pada pasien PPOK dengan penyakit penyerta non infeksi (n=19) didapatkan nilai rata-rata hitung jenis basofil 0±0%, eosinofil 2,16±5,65%, neutrofil batang 2,16±1,77%, neutrofil segmen 79,0±10,44%, limfosit 14,16±8,03%, dan monosit 2,53±1,87%. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan pasien PPOK tanpa penyakit penyerta, dengan penyakit penyerta infeksi, dan dengan penyakit penyerta non infeksi mengalami neutrofilia dan limfositopenia. Cigarette smoke, air pollution, and recurrent infections in the respiratory tract can activates alveolar macrophages to release inflammatory mediators that stimulate granulocytic and monocytic progenitors in the bone marrow that can affect leukocyte counts in peripheral blood. Other factors that can also affect leukocyte count in COPD patients is the presence of comorbidities. The design of this study was descriptive retrospective from medical record of 69 people with COPD who were treated at the lungs and internal medicine department of dr. M. Djamil Hospital Padang. The result of this study show in COPD patients without comorbidities (n=9) average value of basophil counts 0±0%, eosinophils 1.22±1.2%, neutrophils rod 3.33±2.5%, neutrophils segment 79.56±9.26%, lymphocytes 13.67±6.55%, and monocytes 2.22±2.44%. COPD patients with infectious comorbidities (n=41) obtained average value of basophil counts 0±0%, eosinophils 1.02±1.59%, neutrophils rod 1.98±2.63%, neutrophils segment 81.07±8.44%, lymphocytes 12.83±6.68%, and monocytes 3.1±2.71%. AbstrakDemam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang utama di Indonesia.Pemeriksaan nilai hematokrit dan jumlah trombosit menjadi indikator diagnosis DBD. Nilai hematokrit akan meningkat (hemokonsentrasi) karena penurunan volume plasma darah, sedangkan jumlah trombosit akan menurun (trombositopenia) akibat supresi sum-sum tulang dan munculnya antibodi terhadap trombosit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan nilai hematokrit terhadap jumlah trombosit pada penderita demam berdarah dengue.Telah dilakukan penelitian retrospektif terhadap 112 pasien DBD di RSUP DR. M. Djamil Padang periode Juli 2012-Juni 2013. Data yang diambil dari Instalasi Rekam Medis adalah nilai hematokrit dan jumlah trombosit yang diperiksa dengan menggunakan alat otomatis Pentra-60. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan rata-rata jumlah trombosit saat masuk rumah sakit adalah 49.627±38.141 sel/mm3, sedangkan rata-rata nilai hematokrit saat masuk rumah sakit adalah 45,1±6,1%. Analisis data untuk mencari hubungan nilai hematokrit terhadap jumlah trombosit saat masuk rumah sakit, didapatkan nilai koefisien korelasi Spearman (r) sebesar -0,115 dan nilai signifikasi p>0,05. Examination of hematocrit values and platelet counts as indicators of dengue diagnosis. Hematocrit value will increase (hemoconcentration) due to a decrease in volume of blood plasma, while the platelet count will decrease (thrombocytopenia) due to bone marrow suppression and the appearance of antibodies against platelets. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship of hematocrit value on platelet counts in patients with dengue hemorrhagic fever. A retrospective study of 112 patients of dengue in the RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang period July 2012-June 2013. Data was taken from the Installation of Medical Record is the value of hematocrit and platelet, then data were examined using automated tools Pentra-60. Then the data were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results of this study found the average platelet count on admission was 49.627±38.141 cells/mm 3 , while the average hematocrit value on admission was 45,1±6,1%. Data analysis was then performed to find the relationship of hematocrit value of the platelet count on admission, obtained Spearman correlation coefficient (r) of -0,115 and a significance value of p>0,05. It can be concluded that there is an increase in hematocrit and decrease of platelet counts.
