Entrepreneurial orientation has grown in prominence as a productive structure that includes complex sets of interactions that drive economic actors' competitive skills by inducing innovation. However few econometric indices have been carried out within emerging economies. Hence this paper seeks to investigate the impact of entrepreneurial orientations on innovation performance in Nigeria, using knowledge management as a mediating factor. Before doing so, we marry the insights of several pieces of works of literature on knowledge management, and innovation performance, stemming from Organizational Theory of Innovation, and Schumpeterian Theory of Innovation. A survey design was adopted for the study. A valid sample of 329 impacted the study using the Cochran formulae for sample size determination. The research employed the Partial Least Square method for the main analysis and the Ordered Logistic Regression method for robustness check. In this study, we accept all hypotheses due to their significant and mutual relationship to the measured variable. Though knowledge management capability showed an insignificant impact on innovation performance, it correlated strongly with innovation performance in the matrix analysis. Even though the knowledge management capability construct variable was statistically insignificant on the dependent variable, there was a positive correlation. This can further be investigated in future research to ascertain reality. Hence, this research is a call on policy ramification and blueprint approach not only for firms in Nigeria but in other jurisdictions striving for innovation performance. The research findings indicate that businesses with high entrepreneurial orientation can identify new opportunities and have higher inclination to successful performance.
This paper seeks to investigate the relationship between creativity and innovation on entrepreneurship development. Before doing so, we marry the insights of several pieces of works of literature on creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship stemming from Joseph Schumpeter's perspectives, theory, and research on innovation and entrepreneurship development. A survey design was adopted for the study. A valid sample of 257 impacted the study using Yemane sample size determination formulae. The research employed the Ordinary Least Square method and ANOVA Test for data analysis. In this study, we accept hypotheses H2 and H5 due to their significant and mutual relationship on the measured variable whereas H1, H3, and H4 were not accepted owing to their insignificant impact on the independent variable (entrepreneurship development). The most significant variables in this research are technological advancement and strategy. The findings of this research are quite different from the influential factors (Ali Al Qudah 2018). The two measured significant variables can then be considered as major factors or requirements for innovation and the success of a country's entrepreneurship development. Having established this fact is a call on policy support and framework-specific not only for Nigeria but to any other country which is striving to achieve economic success. Interestingly, the matrix analysis established a strong relationship between creative thinking and innovative ability, as well as technological advancement although was negatively estimated on entrepreneurship development. This indicates that technological advancement is support for creativity and innovation. However, its direct effect on entrepreneurship development was not significantly estimated. This can further be investigated to ascertain reality. Therefore, this is a call on policy support and
In the wake of the growing threats to humanity from climate change, we analyzed the information and communications technology (ICT)/education-environmental nexus from three distinct blocs including BRICS, MINT, and the G7 economies between 1990 and 2020. Two models were examined to reach the study's objectives. The first model evaluates whether education and ICT are essential for environmental sustainability via potential reduction in carbon emission. On the other hand, the second model fills an existing gap in extant studies by examining the prospect of education and ICT in influencing citizens on the importance of transition to renewable energy usage. Driscoll and Kraay estimator was employed as a panacea tool for cross-sectional dependence and slope homogeneity while the fixed effect approach provides sufficient robustness checks on the findings. While some outcomes vary per bloc, others are relatively similar across the three blocs. Education level in school enrollment perspectives shows a negative significant pollution reduction effect across the three blocs, while only the G7 bloc performed better from human capital perspectives. The combined sample bloc shows that ICT also significantly reduces carbon emission, however, an individual bloc analysis refutes this stance for the MINT bloc. Additionally, while renewable energy cushions emissions in all the blocs, rapid urbanization, shows a positive CO 2 emission impact except in the G7 bloc. Last, ICT and education significantly boost renewable energy usage only in the G7. Hence, governments and stakeholders in the blocs should gravitate toward greater investments in quality education and greener ICT infrastructures for a sustainable environment.
