Palavras-chave: movimento em música, metáforas conceituais, esquemas imagéticos, processos criativos Capoeira and composition: dialogues between cognition studies and creative processes Abstract This paper focuses on the possible interactions between cognition studies and creative processes, taking as reference an important cultural context of Bahia discussed on a Doctorate Research accomplished in the UFBA's Graduate Program. The research focused the complex interaction between music and movement, developing ideas and processes based on a context where there is no conceptual separation between them: the Capoeira Regional. The experiential approach was framed by circuits involving theories and practices of compositional domain, resulting in the creation of a conceptual framework which engenders dialogues between music/movement and cognition studies/creative processes.
