This paper provides an overview of the state of existing systems of predictable control of the polymerization process. It includes a literature and patent survey of the presented mathematical models of the processes that occur during chemical polymerization reactions and analyzes techniques of controlling the processes of designing, manufacturing, modeling and construction of automated control systems. A critical analysis of existing modeling and control systems is given. The most promising software complexes ready for use in the process of designing of materials and products from photopolymers with predetermined structural properties have been identified. The analysis of a standard technological process as an object of control, by the example of the presented algorithm of the functioning of a particular production unit, showed the possibility of improving the existing automated systems of its control. By this example the authors prove the possibility of constructing automated process control systems, as well as those of photopolymerization, which will stabilize physical and chemical processes when manufacturing products from photopolymers. At the end of the research it was made possible to determine the purpose and objectives of further research of the authors aimed at creating the following complex: a software for the development of materials with specified structural properties; development of mathematical tools for calculation and modeling of photopolymerization processes; construction of automated control systems for technological processes of manufacturing products from photopolymer structural materials.
The use of polymers in the agro-industrial complex has increased over the past decades. This is due to their use as structural materials in equipment for processing, storage and preparation of agricultural products. The article presents the overview of the state of existing control systems for the process of predicted polymerization, a literary and patent analysis of the presented mathematical models of chemical polymerization reactions. There are considered the methods of control of the processes of design, manufacture, modeling and construction of automated control systems. (Research purpose) The research purpose is to determine the promising directions for the development and research of the designing materials and products made of photopolymers with predetermined structural properties. (Materials and methods) The article presents software complexes for modeling polymer materials, algorithms and mathematical models of polymerization. Authors used a literary and patent review in the study. (Results and discussion) The analyze of the program complexes for modeling polymer materials shows that in an explicit, visualized form, the process of creating photopolymers with specified design parameters is not represented in them. The analysis of a typical technological process as an object of management was carried out using the example algorithm of a specific production unit, and have established the possibility of improving existing automated control systems for it. The article describes the possibility of constructing an automated control system for the technological process of photopolymerization, stabilization of physico-chemical processes in the production of polymer products. (Conclusions) The actual tasks of further research is creating a software package for modeling materials with specified structural properties; mathematical apparatus for calculating and modeling photopolymerization processes; construction of automated control systems for technological processes of manufacturing products from photopolymer structural materials.
For the modernization of polymer and composite materials in order to increase their operational properties, namely strength and wear resistance, there are created oil-filled polymer and composite materials. Filling the manufactured part with oil is problematic in the automating the control of the filled state. The filling process is applicable for polymer or composite bearing separators of agricultural machines (forage harvesters, cotton harvesters, grape harvesters and others) in order to increase their service life in conditions of a large amount of dust and dirt, as well as in cases of dry start. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in developing a methodology for automated filling control of structural polymers and composites used in agricultural machinery with antifriction materials. (Materials and methods) The article presents designed and produced experimental installation and field tests. The developed sensor placement scheme allows performing experimental studies on measuring the volumetric body temperature of a polymer or composite sample during the impregnation process online. The differentiation of the obtained results, presented in graphical form, makes it possible to quickly analyze the dynamics of temperature changes in the thickness of the material. (Results and discussion) The article presents the optimal proportion of a mixture of hexane and M-8B engine oil and the most favorable temperature conditions. It was confirmed the possibility of using this technique in the technology of oil filling of antifriction products made of polymer and composite materials. (Conclusions) The technique makes it possible to identify the filled state of manufactured polymer or composite parts used in friction units of agricultural machines without the introduction of thermal sensors. The control is carried out according to the previously obtained values of the speed and time of impregnation to a given depth of penetration of the oil filler, depending on the type of material.
One of the main quality problems of products made of polymer materials is the excessive moisture content in the feedstock. Earlier developments of the authors show the possibility of controlling and eliminating this factor by the method of preliminary acclimatization and drying of the material. Automation of drying of raw materials for polymer packaging at the enterprise cannot be developed and implemented without preliminary research of the drying process, development of recommendations for the organization of an automated control system. The issue of drying multicomponent and composite materials in the finished mixture remains open today. (Research purpose) The research purpose is developing an algorithm for automating scientific research of the high-frequency drying process of multicomponent polymer materials. (Materials and methods) The article presents the existing automated systems for scientific research of high-frequency processing and their methodology, based on previously stated controlled parameters. The article describes the approach and the algorithm for an automated system of scientific research of the drying process of a multicomponent polymer mixture. A new temperature parameter controlled in the volume of the heated polymer was proposed. The depth of the controlled layer was selected according to the described methodology. (Results and discussion) The system was protected from breakdown phenomena, which limits the current consumption in automatic mode in accordance with the characteristics of industrial equipment (0.9 amperes). The automatization of control system was made using the studied law of changing the power of a high-frequency generator on the rotation angle of the regulator. (Conclusions) The developed system of automated scientific research made it possible to conduct a series of experiments, the results of which, after final processing, will be presented to the scientific community in the near future.
