Inspection of Universities infringement (PT) is one of Controlling, Supervising and Guidance (dalwasbin) activities aimed at developing problematic universities in order to be back on track and able to run Tri Dharma of Higher Education in accordance with National Standard of Higher Education. Based on the results of evaluation and inspection of Higher Education in 2017 at Coordination of Private Higher Education Region XIV there found 29 Universities out of 61 Universities that committed violations. Management of infringement inspection of Higher Education requires the role of information technology due to the geographic area of the Higher Education and management of Higher Education inspection that is still manual causing management to be ineffective and inefficient. Coordination of Private Higher Education Region XIV requires an information system that can support and assist data of infringement in universities and management of universities inspection. The design of information system in this research used waterfall method. The design of system models used unified modeling language diagrams (UML) including use case diagrams and activity diagrams. The design of this information system generated a system that can support the management of integrated and centralized infringement inspection to facilitate the inspection, monitoring and reporting of inputs and information for Coordination of Private Higher Education and the ministry in mapping the institutional quality Higher Education.
Augmented Reality is a technology that allows users to see the real world, with virtual objects placed on it or combined with the real world. Augmented Reality itself can be applied to various things, including as an educational media. In the field of education, technology can be used a culture introduction to society. One part of Indonesian culture is traditional houses. Traditional house is a building that symbolizes the culture of the local community. In North Sumatra itself, there are several traditional houses that have different forms. The use of Vuforia SDK in the construction of this application can display augmented objects in the form of 3-dimentional objects and also provide information on the house. This application will run on the Android mobile platform to make it easier for users to access it. In addition, users can choose their own objects to be used as markers to make the application use much easier.
Indonesia is a cultural and historical diversity country. The Indonesian national culture is an analogous multicultural, rooted in older societies and interethnic relations caused the national culture is most easily observed in cities but aspects of it now reach into the countryside as well, for example, capital of Sumatera Utara, Medan. Indonesia’s borders are those of the Netherlands East Indies, though Dutch imperialism caused nation and many of its institutions should be able to preserve and introduce their culture and history to future generations. One way that can be done by involving the development of Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that can be developed by creating 3D (Dimensions) of each created object such as a historic place. In this study, the object to be constructed is the 3D object of the historic building in Medan city which is a historic city in North Sumatra. In addition to historical sites there is a city tour service with the location of the historic building nearby with the location point of reference based on the current location. In addition, the user interaction can be done with 3D objects using Augmented Reality technology and information about historic buildings and the use of virtual reality technology in creating 3D visuals of extinct historic locations. This research is expected to attract users of heritage traveller applications and educate the community in preserving the cultural heritage with the help of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology.
