This paper describes total quality management and its impact on the effectiveness of the academic system at KH Achmad Siddiq State Islamic University Jember. This research uses a qualitative case study approach, using interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. Participants in it are leaders, lecturers, staff, and students with the purposive sampling technique. The data analysis uses Milles and Huberman's concepts, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that the impact of total quality management and the effectiveness of the academic system was; 1) Using friendly, namely students and lecturers as users in this research, it becomes easier to use technology-based information systems, not complicated in using and getting services regarding academic matters; 2) Ease of access to information, namely making it easier for students to access information about academics; 3) Faster use, due to managerial processes that get more attention, students and lecturers feel faster in digging up information through accounts that have been provided with accurate results; 4) Public services faster, managerial processes that run more effectively and consistently as well as the presence of experts who manage them make students feel satisfied with college academic services.
The aim of researching the application of behavioristic learning theory in thematic learning is to explore how the principles of behaviorism can be used to enhance the effectiveness of thematic learning. This research aims to examine the various ways in which behavioristic learning theory can be applied in the classroom setting, and to identify the benefits and limitations of using behaviorism in thematic learning. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. The location chosen by the researcher is MI Miftahul Ulum Sumberwuluh Candipuro Subdistrict, Lumajang Regency. This research uses qualitative descriptive data analysis with an interactive model according to the theory of Miles, Hubermen and Saldana. The result showed the teachers often provide stimulus to students in the learning process. Teachers also often ask questions to students as a reinforcement of the material studied, so teachers often reinforce the material presented. Assessment carried out by class II teachers in thematic learning class II at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum Theme 4 Sub Theme 4 Learning to 2 in the form of daily assessments which include several aspects, namely attitude, knowledge and skills assessment.
The 21st century known as the period of globalization has had so much influence on the life sector. The education sector is no exception; the period of globalization is marked by the mingling of western culture and the rapid development of technology and qualified expertise in various work and industry sectors. They are making it a new challenge for Islamic boarding schools or pondok pesantren that must maintain their existence in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as an institution that provides not only religious provisions but also skills and praxis for santri in facing the 21st century. This study uses a qualitative research approach with the type of case study. The implementation of life skills education in increasing emotional, behavior, and cognitive autonomy contained various pesantren activities such as development activities: al- banjari, computer mastery, scouts, English club, keputrian, karate, and PGPQ program. There are life skills educations in implementing self-development programs, namely personal and social skills, including general and specific ones.
