Villages with mural decorations had spread across Java and become new tourist attractions, some of those villages are: Villages on the banks of Code River in Yogyakarta, Jodipan Village in Malang, Rainbow Village in Randusari Semarang and many more. Mural creations that emerge across many urban villages in Java island Indonesia was a clear example how art can create social impacts. Mural not only function as decoration but able to transform an area into a productive space. This paper discusses the process of community mural in transforming a place into creative spaces and encourage residents to explore their local potentials, thus create a place of identity. This research focused on Kampung Wonosari in Randusari Semarang or currently known as Kampung Pelangi (Rainbow Village). Despite many potentials that can be found in Kampung Pelangi, it was chosen as the location of this research based on several problems; first Kampung Pelangi has become new icon for Semarang City but seems discontinued with its traditional values, second how will Kampung Pelangi sustain as an attractive destination? The location of Kampung Pelangi is surrounded by historic sites and it has a unique local content that can be further explored. This study focused on cultural heritage, local wisdom and to understand sociocultural development of Kampung Pelangi amid the modernization of Semarang City. This study is a qualitative research using mixed methods with ethnographic and participatory approach.
In the past 20 years, our deteriorating environment has become a global problem. Sustainable development has become our goals for a better future. In its SDG’s 2015-2030, the United Nation has shown that people and the continuity of the environment are integral. Sustainability means that it would provide for the recent generation necessities, without risking the needs of future generations. The research focus is building environmental awareness for the 4th-grade students of Darussalam Elementary School, Panongan Regency, Tangerang. The propose strategy is by inserting educational comic through their formal Environment Education subject. It is develop through active engagement with the students as well as the teacher and Darussalam school environment using Participatory Action Research combine with Design Thinking methods. The result will be an educational comic that promotes environmental awareness that is connected to the school physical and learning environment. In the same time the comic will sparks the children’s imagination and ask them to put their knowledge from the book into action. This strategy of correlate people (the children), place (identity) and use (knowledge and action) is deemed effective in building sustainable environmental awareness for the future generation and has the potential to replicate nationwide.
AbstrakSatu dasawarsa ini, fenomena mewarnai kampung kota (urban villages) telah menjadi salah strategi berbagai kota di pulau Jawa untuk menciptakan daya tarik wisata. Kampung kota yang seringkali terkesan kumuh, menjelma sebagai kawasan wisata dan menjadi ikon kota. Penelitian ini dilakukan di pemukiman Wonosari Gunung Brintik, Semarang dan saat ini dikenal sebagai Kampung Pelangi. Sejak 2017, warna-warni Kampung Pelangi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai penanda visual suatu lokasi, tetapi telah mengubah fungsi pemukiman menjadi kawasan wisata. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengetahui perubahan yang terjadi khususnya setelah pemukiman Wonosari dikenal sebagai Kampung Pelangi dan menjadi ikon baru bagi Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran, tahap pendataan awal dilakukan melalui wawancara, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penyebaran kuesioner untuk mengetahui respon warga setempat terhadap perubahan visual pemukiman Wonosari menjadi Kampung Pelangi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana Kampung Pelangi mewujudkan identitas tempat melalui citra lokal serta mencari pendekatan model pemberdayaan terhadap potensi lokal sehingga berdampak pada keberlanjutan Kampung Pelangi sebagai destinasi wisata. The urban villages, that often considered slum areas had transformed to be tourist destinations and become an icon of cities. This research conducted in the settlement of Wonosari Gunung Brintik, Semarang, or now known as Kampung Pelangi. Since 2017, the colorful Kampung Pelangi has not only visually transformed a location but has transformed into a tourist destination. This research uses a mixed-method, collection of data conducted through interviews and questionnaires. This study uses the perspective of place identity and focuses on the residents’ response to the visual changes of their settlement. This study also tries to understand the image construction process of place identity that represents its local values and search for an empowerment model that will impact the sustainability of Kampung Pelangi as a tourist destination. Perkembangan teknologi dan kemampuan produksi negaranegara berkembang berdampak pada persaingan harga produksi yang kompetitif. Beberapa negara maju seperti Jepang, Amerika Serikat, dan negaranegara di Eropa sudah tidak bisa bersaing harga produksi dengan negara berkembang maka sejak tahun 1970an mulai menggeser paradigma mereka pada ekonomi servis yang fokus pada memberikan pelayanan dan pengalaman terbaik pada konsumen. Akhirnya pada tahun 1990an, perusahaan manufaktur mulai merubah paradigma berpikirnya untuk menggabungkan produk dan servis menjadi solusi nilai yang ditawarkan pada konsumen inilah yang disebut sebagai sistem produk servis (SPS). Uber®, Grab®, Gojek® adalah contoh SPS yang berhasil diterima masyarakat. Untuk mengintegrasikan produk dan servis diperlukan metode dan perubahan cara pandang organisasi. Melihat pentingnya sebuah metode dalam SPS, hal ini sudah sering menjadi topik penelitian para peneliti. Oleh karena itu, di paper ini dikaji macammacam metode SPS yang ada saat ini. Dari studi ini didapatkan, bahwa dibutuhkan keseimbangan antara peneliti dan praktisi industri dari sejak awal. Hasil dari kajian ini adalah enam metode perancangan SPS yaitu : analisa kebutuhan customer, analisa studi kasus SPS, analisa SWOT, konsep SPS, flowchart SPS dan rincian dana untuk realisasi SPS Kata kunci : Metodologi, Sistem Produk Servis
