The family is part of the process in forming student career maturity to be able to develop the career optimally. Thisstudy aimed to analyze the effect of the role of family social support on the career maturity of junior high schoolstudents and analyze the dimensions of family social support that play the most role. The participants of this studyinvolved 133 junior high school students aged 12-15 years. The sampling technique used was simple randomsampling. Data were collected through self-report and analyzed by simple linear regression analysis. The analysisshowed that there was the role of family social support for the career maturity of junior high school students. Bothvariables had a positive relationship direction, which shows that the higher the family social support, the higherthe career maturity of junior high school students; vice versa. The dimensions of family social support that play arole in the maturity of junior high school students' career were social support and information. Family socialsupport and career maturity of junior high school students in this study were in the high category. The highestfamily social support provided is appreciation support, then instrumental support, followed by information supportand the lowest is emotional support.
People in each region have different values in the social and emotional aspects of life. Culture has an important role in value differences. Children's attitudes and behaviors during his growth and development also differ in accordance with the culture in which they are growing. This particular culture can be seen in Javanese (andhap asor), Bugis-Makassarese (siri), and Papuan (more tendencies in emotional expressive). The purpose of this study is to seek the differences between Javanese, Bugis-Makassarese, and Papuan tribes in determining children's socio-emotional competence. The subjects of this study were 100 children aged 10-13 years. This study used the Social-Emotional Competence Questionnaire (SECQ), which in 5 aspects of social awareness, self-management, relationship management, and responsible decision-making. Data analysis using one-way ANOVA. The results showed that there were differences in socio-emotional competence among Javanese, Bugis-Makassarese, and Papuans (F = 3.26).
Everyone has a diverse evaluation of body image. Positive body image makes adolescents have good selfconfidence and appreciate their strengths. Adolescents use social media to form an ideal image of their bodies. Activities in using Instagram are used by adolescents to build their presentations. This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of Instagram activities on adolescent body image. The subjects used in this study were 100 students aged 16-19 years. Measuring instruments used in this study are the Body Image States Scale (BISS) and the scale of Instagram Use Activities. The data were analyzed using a regression test with a bootstrapping path. The results showed that the activity of using Instagram is not related to adolescent body image (F=0.742).
Setiap orang dalam berbagai daerah memiliki perbedaan nilai aspek sosial dan emosional dalam hidup. Latar belakang budaya anak memiliki peranan penting untuk menyumbang perbedaan nilai tersebut. Sikap dan perilaku anak sepanjang masa hidup dan perkembangannya juga ditentukan oleh budaya dimana mereka tumbuh. Nilai budaya tersebut dapat dilihat dari berbagai suku yang ada di Indonesia diantaranya suku Jawa (andhap ansor), Bugis-Makassar (siri) dan Papua (tendensi lebih pada ekspresi emosi). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat perbedaan kemampuan sosial pada suku Jawa, Bugis-Makassar, dan Papua dalam aspek sosial-emosial anak yang berfokus pada social awareness, responsible decision making, dan relationship skills. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan aspek kompetensi sosio-emosional anak pada suku Jawa, Bugis-Makassar, dan Papua (ρ = 0.043; sig <0.05).
Artikel ini bertujuan untuk melakukan review terhadap penelitian tentang karakteristik resiliensi pada keluarga yang mempunyai anak disabilitas yang meliputi tinjauan terhadap latar belakang keluarga, berbagai jenis disabilitas, dan rancangan penelitian. 11 hasil penelitian, digunakan untuk me-review dengan publikasi jurnal internasional antara tahun 2015-2018. Karakteristik subjek penelitian tidak hanya berasal dari keluarga inti, namun bibi, kakek, nenek yang memiliki anak disabilitas dengan berbagai kriteria seperti disabilitas intelektual, autis (ASD), down syndrome, dan anak dengan kriteria disabilitas lain. Hasil dari review, menunjukkan bahwa resiliensi berperan sebagai faktor pelindung keluarga dalam beradaptasi dan menghadapi anak disabilitas pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian dilakukan di berbagai negara seperti India, Amerika, Korea untuk mengukur resiliensi pada keluarga. Metode yang sering digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah survey, komparatif, dan yang lain menggunakan wawancara. Pembahasan mengenai hasil review, berimplikasi bagi penelitian selanjutnya yang dapat dilakukan di Indonesia.Kata Kunci: review; resiliency in family; maternal; paternal; children disability
