Twenty-two non-lichenicolous species of Tremella are reported from Russia. Detailed descriptions, photographs, illustrations and a dichotomous key for the identification of taxa are provided. Two species, Tremella subalpina and T. griseola, are described as new. One new combination is proposed, and an epitype for Tremella yokohamensis is designated. Molecular phylogenetic reconstructions are presented based on nrITS and nrLSU regions in Bayesian and likelihood analyses. Phylogenetic data were strongly correlated with morphological data and were useful to delimit closely related species.
During the study of mycobiota in the Russian Far East several interesting collections belonging to the genera Marasmius and Cryptomarasmius were made. Here we report the first records of Marasmius cf. ochroleucus, M. occultatiformis and Cryptomarasmius aucubae for the investigated territory. Two species (Marasmius macrocystidiosus, M. insolitus) and one variety (M. cohaerens var. mandshuricus) are described as new. Detailed morphological descriptions and illustrations are given. The relationships of the studied taxa with close species are discussed. Molecular phylogenetic reconstructions based on ITS and nrLSU data sets were conducted.
The paper covers the study of the genus Auricularia in Russia. The taxonomic history of the genus and problems of its morphological systematics are described in details. The evolutionary relationships of species and species complexes were revealed based on a comparative study of the nucleotide sequences of nrDNA (ITS, rpb2). The occurrence of A. auricula-judae only in European of Russia part was confirmed by molecular data, whereas the morphologically similar species A. americana had the Far Eastern distribution in Russia. In total, 7 taxa of Auricularia have so far been recorded from Russia: known species A. mesenterica, A. minor, A. cornea, A. americana, A. auricula-judae, newly described species — A. villosula and undescribed Auricularia sp. An identification key to the studied Auriculariaspecies and its morphological descriptions are also provided.
