Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that has very high morbidity and mortality rate. This disease cannot be cured but can be controlled with good self-management. This research supports the need for appropriate information and educational media in supporting self-management of patien with diabetes mellitus. This research is qualitative and quantitative. The sample of this study was 105 people with diabetes. Data collection was conducted from July to November 2019 at 7 Puskesmas in Padang City, namely: Nanggalo, Lapai, Alai, Andalas, Ambacang, Kuranji, and Pauh, with interview questions and interviews. Qualitative data processing techniques with coding and data validity by triangulation and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and analysis. Quantitative data analysis uses SEM (Structural Equation Model) analysis with the Lisrel 8.7 program. The results showed that the informants were elderly (56-65 years), 60% had good self-management quality, 65% actively participated in chronic disease management programs, 49.5 did not have cellphones. All aspects of self-management, namely blood sugar testing, physical exercise, taking medicine, diet and health education, can be used as educational material. Research information shows the fact most still need information about self-management of diabetics and in the form of conventional media. Informants who use phones that are approved for Android-based self-management applications.
Isu yang diangkat adalah belum efektifnya keterampilan komunikasi mahasiswa sarjana terapan promosi kesehatan dalam penyampaian informasi kesehatan dari sisi kepercayaan diri, sasaran dan penggunaan bahasa di Jurusan Promosi Kesehatan Kemenkes Padang. Berdasarkan isu tersebut penulis mengangkat judul “Efektivitas Penyampaian Informasi Kesehatan untuk meningkatan kepercayaan diri melalui Exercise Speaking Health”. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari 1) Melakukan koordinasi dengan pimpinan Perguruan Tinggi; 2) Melakukan Penyusunan Bahan Sosialisasi; 3) Persiapan Sosialisasi Exercise; 4) Kegiatan Sosialisasi Exercise; 5) Pelaksanaan Exercise Speaking Health; 6) Melakukan Assesment; 7) Melakukan Evaluasi Pelaksanaan Edukasi. Kegiatan Exercise Speaking Health merupakan Pemberian latihan untuk mengefektifkan penyampaian informasi kesehatan guna meningkatkan kepercayaan diri melalui exercise speaking health di kelas bagi mahasiswa Sarjana Terapan Promosi Kesehatan yang telah terlaksana dengan baik. Evaluasi pelaksanaan edukasi ini dilaksanakan melalui pre-post test dan praktik berkomunikasi sebnayak 3 kali. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan dari setiap tahap praktik berkomunikasi yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa, perubahan cara berkomunikasi dari yang belum efektif menjadi efektif dimulai dari praktik yang pertama sampai praktik ketiga. Cara berkomunikasi yang baik dapat menjadi sarana penyampaian pesan kepada masyarakat, ketika mahasiswa melakukan tugasnya sebagai seorang promotor kesehatan.
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) adalah virus yang menyerang sistem kekebalan tubuh sehingga menyebabkan penderitanya mengalami penurunan daya tahan tubuh sedangkan Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) adalah kumpulan gejala dan infeksi yang timbul akibat rusaknya sistem kekebalan tubuh manusia akibat infeksi.dengan virus HIV. Situasi penyebaran HIV/AIDS di Indonesia pada tahun 2019, menunjukkan jumlah kumulatif kasus HIV/AIDS mendekati setengah juta atau 500.000, yaitu 466.859 yang terdiri dari 349.882 HIV dan 116.977 AIDS, sedangkan perkiraan kasus HIV/AIDS di Indonesia pada tahun 2019. 2019. 2016 adalah 640.443 .Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan buku saku sebagai media promosi kesehatan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang HIV/AIDS di SMK N 6 Padang.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen semu dengan one group pretest posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMK N 6 Padang jurusan perhotelan yang berjumlah 120 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik sampling yaitu total sampling sebanyak 100 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner.Pengolahan data dilakukan secara komputerisasi dan dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rata-rata pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi menggunakan media buku saku adalah 8,94 dan 14,25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan (p<0,05) dan media buku saku bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang HIV/AIDS.
WHO data in 2017, cancer is the main cause of disease worldwide, every year more than 266,000 deaths from cervical cancer. Overcoming this problem requires efforts to solve the problem with a screening method, namely VIA examination. This study aims to determine the effect of counseling on early detection by playing videos and power points for cervical cancer using the IVA (Visual Inspection of Acetic Acid) method on the motivation of mothers in the working area of the Nanggalo Public Health Center, Padang City. This type of research is a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test design which has been carried out in the work area of the Nanggalo Health Center, Padang City. The population is EFA as many as 2863 people. Samples were taken by purposive sampling with a total sample of 16 people. Collecting data using a questionnaire and then processing the data with the T-Test test. The results showed that the average value of the mother's motivation before being given counseling was 44.31 with a standard deviation of 2.626. The average value of mother's motivation after counseling was 47.94 with a standard deviation of 2.955. The results of statistical tests using T-Test obtained p-value = 0.0005 <0.05 (α). It can be concluded that there is an effect of Health Counseling Using Power Point and Video Playing on Changes in Mother's Motivation in Cervical Cancer Prevention Using the IVA Method in the Nanggalo Health Center Work Area, Padang City in 2020 and it is hoped that health workers will increase information about early detection of cervical cancer using the IVA method, and to the public to increase their understanding of the importance of early detection of cervical cancer so that people are willing to participate in conducting the IVA test.Keywords: Counseling, Motivation, Power Point and Cervical Cancer Video Screening, VIA.
Background: Women during pregnancy, childbearing age, and adolescents are prone to anemia. The prevalence of anemia in adolescents in Indonesia in 2018 reached 32%. The objectives of this study were to determine the correlation between nutritional status with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls.Method: Describe briefly the main methods or treatments applied. This study is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was student girls in Padang City in 2022.The instrument used to measure hemoglobin was a digital Hb measuring instrument. The nutritional status in this study used the measurement of the nutritional status of adolescents with the indicator of BMI according to age. Correlative analytic test with ordinal scale data used the Kendall's tau test.Results: Based on the results of this study, was known that most of the 71.9% of adolescent girls whose nutritional status is normal. Most of the adolesce girls (87.5%) had normal hemoglobin levels, and as many as 12.5% adolensce girls had anemia who were not menstruating. Nutritional status (BMI/age) and hemoglobin levels were not correlated. Nutritional status is not a factor causing anemia in adolescent girls. It is necessary to investigate the prevalence of anemia in adolescent girls during menstruation as a comparison.
