This study aims to determine the level of difficulty of learning chemistry students at SMAN X South Tangerang City. This research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2013/2014. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative method. Sample was taken by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques obtained through questionnaire which was then analyzed descriptively. The results showed an average percentage score of 70.15 which fall into the medium category. While the average for each indicator identified causes learning difficulties students on chemical subjects including physiological factors (physical / sensory) 74.5% (high category), psychology 69.78% (medium category), social aspects 68% (Category medium), infrastructure 58.75% (medium category), a method of learning 77% (high class), and a teacher of 77.17% (high category).
Menurut beberapa penelitian terdahulu, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kurang terlatih dikarenakan pembelajaran lebih berpusat kepada guru (teacher center). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi sistem koloid. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 10 Kota Tangerang Selatan pada bulan Februari semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian berjumlah masing-masing 30 orang siswa pada kelas kontrol maupun eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu purpossive sampling. Instrumen utama yang digunakan yaitu tes essay sebanyak 10 butir soal. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan bantuan software SPSS versi 22 diperoleh data bahwa sig < α yaitu 0,000 < 0,05 pada taraf signifikansi 5% sehingga H0 ditolak dan terima H1. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. The method used was weak experimental with the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subject were student of chemistry education department Semester 2 in 2013/2014 FITK UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Research instrument is scientific literacy test in the form of essays. Based on data from the pretest and postest calculated value of N-Gain (%). The trial results demonstrate scientific literacy of students after learning with problem based learning has increased On aspects of the application context (42.49%) and on aspects of the process (50.29%). Hasil uji coba menunjukkan literasi sains calon guru kimia setelah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (Problem Based Learning) mengalami peningkatan. Pada aspek konteks aplikasi sains terjadi peningkatan sebesar 42,49% (kategori sedang) dan pada aspek proses sains terjadi peningkatan sebesar 50,29% (kategori sedang).
This research is aimed to produce student's activity sheet (LKS) based on guided inquiry on salt hydrolysis and to know the students' response on developed student's activity sheet. The method used in this research is descriptive study through three phases: need asessment, development, and evaluation. An analysis of basic competence (KD) with the indicators that had been integrated with guided inquiry stage used as reference in developing student's activity sheet had been produced during the preparation stage. The development stage had produced worksheets that had been validated by 3 lecturers and 3 chemistry teachers. On the evaluation stage, the worksheets validated was tested on 41 students of XI MIA 2 of SMAN 1 Parung. Products were validated and responded based on properness of contents, design, language, and guided inqury. The results showed that the worksheets had ben developed based on four aspects: 84,39% on design aspect, 81,47% on properness of contents aspects, 81,22% on guided inquiry aspect and 79,39% on language aspect. Overall, the average percentages of the worksheets that had been developed was 81,62%. That value included in the proper category with the very well criteria.
