ABSTRACTIn this article, it is possible to view the difficulties both in teaching and in learning the discipline of geometry in the school life of students. It is also demonstrated that the learning of students may vary according to the school environment and the teaching methods used by teacher in the classroom. Therefore, these difficulties encountered by the teacher and by the student in question to the teaching and learning of geometry, serve to point and seek better ways to transmit and capture the contents of this very important subject. Documentary evidence, interviews, direct observation and questionnaires to students and to teacher were used for data collection. Later, it was observed that the traditional teaching methods are not enough to enable a meaningful learning of students, and using the puzzle game, it was noticed that this methodology is feasible in relation to teaching.
