This study aims to analyse the media management strategy of Indonesian television stations during the Covid-19 pandemic. In March 2020, an outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia affected the operations of broadcasting offices, which forced people to work from home. This situation affects the operations, strategy, and content of the television industry. The object of research is Kompas TV, one of the largest media companies in Indonesia, which was the first to implement a digital concept for its customers. The concepts of planning, organising, actuating, and controlling are used to analyse the strategies media utilised. The methodology employed for the current research takes the form of a case study by adopting the qualitative approach through an in-depth interview and observation. The results showed that Kompas TV, through its digital platform in the form of websites, YouTube channels, and social media, achieved an increase in the number of viewers, users, and engagement during the pandemic. In particular, the digital aspect does not only appear in communication, but also in the implementation of the Kompas TV strategy. The results of the study also revealed that strategies carried out on Kompas TV can be used as a model for other television in Indonesia to emulate, in order to sustain its business in times of crisis. Leadership communication style plays an important role in managing an organization during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study investigated the leadership style applied in the event organizer industry to survive adversity during a pandemic situation. A qualitative approach is used in case studies of two event organizers in two big cities in Indonesia, namely PT Ikons Karya Kreasi, Jakarta, and CV Trigger EO, Medan. In-depth interviews were conducted as a data collection technique for each level of the company's top management and employees. The results showed that the situational leadership style applied in the two organizations differed according to the context and culture of the organization. The most important competence of the two lies in a leadership style that displays socio-emotional skills, is ready to face stress and adapt to changes in socio-cultural life quickly, and dares to take decisions to maintain the continuity of the company organizing business events. Media sosial merupakan bentuk interaksi masa kini yang dapat menghubungkan semua orang melalui internet. Ada banyak fasilitas yang diberikan oleh media sosial untuk membantu kita menyalurkan segala apapun yang ingin kita lakukan dan butuhkan. Kita harus dapat mengelola penggunaan media sosial secara produktif agar dapat bermanfaat untuk diri kita. Kemajuan ini harus dimanfaatkan untuk membentuk, salah satunya adalah kegiatan self marketing. Kalangan remaja terutama pelajar SMPN 20 Kota Tangerang Selatan adalah salah satu pengguna media social yang biasanya memposting tentang kegiatan pribadinya, curhatannya, serta foto-foto bersama teman-temannya. Semakin aktif seorang remaja atau pelajar SMPN 20 Kota Tangerang Selatan di media sosial maka mereka semakin terasah kemampuannya untuk menggunakan media social tersebut bagi pengembangan kemampuan dirinya. Termasuk di dalamnya adalah wujud eksistensi sebagai media aktualisasi diri. Eksistensi diri merupakan segala kemungkinan yang apabila direalisasikan dapat mengarahkan individu pada keberadaan autentik, yaitu manusia menjadi dirinya sendiri, mengambil tanggung jawab untuk menjadi dirinya sendiri. Atas alasan itulah memahami konsep self marketing, self promotion dan personal branding menjadi hal penting sebagai cara untuk meningkatkan ‘nilai jual’ seseorang. Melalui self marketing, self promotion, dan personal branding, dapat disatukan hal-hal utama pada individu yang melibatkan skill, kepribadian, dan karakter yang dibungkus sebagai identitas yang kuat dibanding identitas diri orang lainnya. Mengingat setiap individu memiliki aspek yang unggul dalam dirinya ataupun kelemahan terkait dengan penguasaan dalam bidang pekerjaannya, maka melakukan usaha peningkatan kompetensi melalui kegiatan self marketing di media social adalah salah satu langkah yang harus dilakukan
The utilization of online media, known as Cyber Public Relations (CPR), is the online public relations activities for information dissemination using online media by government institutions as an agenda to build the image of the institution in the public eyes. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the model of Cyber Public Relations and the obstacles in utilizing the online media of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in building a positive image of the institution. The paradigm used in this research is the constructivist paradigm. This research is using a qualitative research approach with a case study research method. Data collection techniques include: (1) in-depth interviews (2) observations, and (3) study of relevant literature. The process of analyzing qualitative data is carried out in stages: data reduction, then presenting the data and finally verifying (drawing conclusions). The results showed that through two official websites, namely the official website www.jakarta.go.id as a data information center and www.beritajakarta.com as the official portal for reporting. In addition, it has a number of social media, twitter, facebook, Instagram and YouTube as a means of information to the public. It is also supported by JAKI as an application that is the gateway for the community to access all online services for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Cyber PR is used in synergizing communication between DKI Jakarta regional government and the community so that it can produce a better image of government in the community.
The Baduy Village is one of the tourist destinations located in Lebak Regency, Banten, Indonesia. The Department of Tourism of Lebak Regency manages the tourism potential of the Baduy tribe which is loaded with the local wisdom besides its natural beauty. This study aimed to analyze the management of local wisdom tourism of Baduy tribe by the Department of Tourism of Lebak Regency Banten, Indonesia in increasing the number of tourists. A constructivist paradigm with a case study method was used in this study. The informants were from the Department of Tourism of Lebak Regency and tourists who have been to the Baduy Village. The data collection was done through structured interviews, observations and literature studies. The qualitative data analysis technique was carried out to reveal the tourism management. The research results showed that the tourism management through promotion strategies used segmentation, targetting, and positioning approaches based on geographic, psychographic, and demographic.
