The increasing use of mobile technologies has led distance education programs to adopt several new models of learning. Herewith, Mobile Learning has been used inside and outside the classroom as a powerful teaching tool. In this paper, we present an experience report on applying M-Learning to a distance teachers training course at college level carried out at the UFPB Virtual. The results demonstrate the benefits this type of learning can bring and also indicates the weaknesses of its present format.Resumo. O crescente uso das tecnologias móveis tem levado a educação a distância a adotar novas modalidades de aprendizagem. Em decorrência disso, o Mobile Learning tem sido utilizado dentro e fora da sala de aula como uma poderosa ferramenta de ensino. Neste trabalho, apresentamos um relato de experiência da aplicação de um curso a distância, a partir da perspectiva do M-Learning, para professores e tutores da UFPB Virtual onde foi utilizado o aplicativo para dispositivos móveis Whatsapp. Os resultados demonstram o poder que essa modalidade de aprendizagem pode ter e também indica os pontos fracos da mesma.
RESUMO O objetivo desse trabalho foi realizar análise produtiva de genótipos de milho verde consorciados com feijão. O experimento foi realizado no Centro de Ciências Agrárias da Universidade Federal de Alagoas, sendo utilizado o delineamento em blocos casualizados no esquema fatorial (4x2), com quatro genótipos de milho (Alagoano, Viçosense, Nordestino e Cruzeta) e dois sistemas de cultivo (monocultivo e consorciado), além de um tratamento complementar (variedade IAC Alvorada de feijão em monocultivo), com três blocos. Foram avaliadas variáveis de interesse agronômico para a produção de milho verde e feijão verde. Os genótipos Viçosense, Nordestino e Alagoano apresentaram as maiores produtividades de espigas comerciais, com média de 12,28 t/ha, e ótimas características morfológicas de milho verde. O consórcio de milho com feijão apresentou características comerciais de milho verde semelhante ao monocultivo. O sistema de consórcio apresentou produção equivalente de milho verde (18,32 t/ha) superior ao monocultivo (11,50 t/ha). Os índices de eficiência produtiva do milho e uso eficiente da terra apresentaram valores respectivos de 0,92 e 1,39, que confirmam a alta viabilidade do consórcio, além do potencial dos genótipos a serem utilizados nesse sistema.
The area of Computer Networks requires an educational model based on real market practices that can provide students with consistent technological training. However, it should be noted that a Network Project is subject to a wide range of restrictions (such as time constraints, budgeting, and the use of other necessary resources) which means there is a need to work with real cases and in the presence of a client. The purpose of this paper is to describe the effects of the application of PBL‐Maestro in the area of Network Design. PBL‐Maestro consists of a LMS (Learning Management System) that has been designed to underpin a methodological workflow for implementing PBL (Problem‐Based Learning) in the teaching of Computing, called xPBL, which provides support for Authentic Assessment. By taking xPBL as a benchmark, the course management can be carried out by following the dynamics of the cycle and stages. The topics was taught in an entirely ̈hands‐on̈ format with the use of real equipment installed inside the classroom, and it included situations and problems arising from real circumstances. Clients took part in the whole process and took on the responsibility of making requests, monitoring, guiding, and evaluating the development of the problem solution, together with the teacher. In addition, the fact that they were immersed in a practical environment and could make use of the devices employed in companies enabled them to solve problems when requested, with more facility and assertiveness. Semi‐structured interviews were conducted with the users who used the LMS.
