This paper discusses on the role of the kyai in pesantren in Java. It addresses on the roles of religiousleader in pesantren. It applies Max Weber’s concept on religious leadership and charisma. It usesqualitative data for analysis of materials collected from observations and library research. This research􀃀nds that the structures and patterns of leadership and power of Kyai within pesantren are strong inwhich kyai is positioned as the main 􀃀gure. It can be seen on how a kyai build his strategic role as thenon-formal leader in society through intensive communication with the people. The charisma of a kyaialso gains people’s support, to some extents, caused by his moral stability and faith quality. This processat 􀃀rst starts from the nearest group around the pesantren and then spread out to distant places.

Religious education which is taught in schools has

The problems of Indonesian migrant workers (TKI), especially Indonesian migrant workers are complex. Weak regulation in favor of migrant workers and regulatory abuses are common. In addition, there is no clarity as to what can be done for ex-migrant workers working abroad. There is an idea in the era of the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) that former migrant workers be transformed into entrepreneurs with competency and integrity that conform to international standards. This paper will answer deeper regarding the dynamics and social problems among migrant workers and the potential for transformation into entrepreneurs in the era of the MEA. The methods were used in this study are qualitative methods as well as social and legal (juridical) perspectives related to regulation by conducting library research and collecting relevant documents. ABSTRAKPersoalan Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI), khususnya buruh migran Indonesia merupakan hal yang kompleks. Lemahnya regulasi yang berpihak pada buruh migran dan praktik-praktik pelanggaran regulasi merupakan hal yang sering ditemukan. Selain itu belum ada kejelasan apakah yang dapat dilakukan bagi mantan buruh migran pasca bekerja di luar negeri. Terdapat gagasan di era Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA) agar mantan buruh migran ditransformasi menjadi wirausahawan dengan kompetensi dan integritas yang sesuai standar internasional. Tulisan ini akan menjawab lebih mendalam menyangkut dinamika dan problem sosial di kalangan buruh migran dan potensi transformasi menjadi wirausahawan di era MEA. Tulisan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif serta perspektif sosial dan hukum (yuridis) terkait regulasi dengan melakukan riset pustaka dan pengumpulan dokumen yang relevan.

It also focuses on the study of leadership, its ethical and practical aspects. It aims at exploring the meaning of leader and leadership in the Quran. In addition, the Quranic verses and its words are collected and analyzed. This paper uses the theory of tafsir, especially tafsir maudhui and the heuristic method for collecting the data. It is found that the Quranic verses are divided into Madaniyah and Makkiyah.
