Transportasi tidak dapat dipisahkan dari pertumbuhan wilayah, karena transportasi sangat besar peranannya dalam mendukung aktivitas masyarakat. Pergerakan menuju suatu tempat tujuan aktifitas, dapat dilayani oleh beberapa moda transportasi. Sistem transportasi di Kota Padang saat ini didominasi oleh transportasi melalui jalan raya, sedangkan sebuah sistem transportasi untuk masa depan yang sehat dari segi lingkungan hidup harus lebih diperhatikan oleh pemangku kepentingan yaitu moda transportasi berbasis rel berupa kereta api. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati apakah moda transportasi kereta api yang diintegrasikan dengan moda transportasi jalan raya (Bus BRT Trans Padang dan Mikrolet) sebagai angkutan perkotaan di kota Padang diminati oleh masyarakat untuk melakukan perjalanan antar zona dalam kota, karena pihak penyedia jasa dalam hal ini PT. Kereta Api Indonesia Devisi Regional Sumatera Barat, telah mempersiapkan komponen sistem transportasinya berupa merenovasi jalur rel dan beberapa stasiun yang ada di dalam wilayah administrasi kota Padang yang dulu pernah sempat mati suri.

The objective research is analysis performance of the walking facilities on a long this corridor based characteristic pedestrian behavior, perception and preferences walkers for facilhj supply. The Aproach metlwde in this research is: Identify pedestrian behavior, perception and preferences walkers. Evaluation performaces walking facilities supply. Knowledge the demand side for quantity walking facilities by measurement pedestrian traffic flaws. Someone inffiuences of pedestrians behavior is follow; walking facility dimention must can be capacity walkers with together 2 to 3 persons or more, walkers do not like trade informal (PKL) on walking path (trotoar), walker will be change to roads, if walking path is inconnection, pedestrian not using zebra cross caution is the near path. Tize basic this variables and the supply facilities equal with satndarize, pedestrian areas must free of inconnecting and accessibility mobile in this area. Tiw big qonsequency in aplly this reseach of pedestrian facilities performance is take areas from people to increase dimention of trotoar for can be capasity of pedestrian traffic flows. Other analysis about increase capasity of pedestrian facility, special for supply unstandarized. Pedestrian facility influence of pedestrian desire, hope using facility walkers increase and central bussiness distric areas becomes high economic for Padang.Key Words: Performance, Pedestrian Facility and Central Bussiness Distric.
This research aims to determine the initial stage of the process series and estimate the level of travelers' desire from Padang to other cities on the Sumatra Island using the trans-Sumatra railway transportation mode planned by the government to operate in 2024. Due to the enormous cost of development investment, data was obtained by observing potential users through a preliminary survey and by distributing questionnaires to residents of Padang city. This was carried out to determine the public's interest in the railway mode, which has been served by flexible transportation modes, such as Inter-City Inter-Provincial buses and planes. Furthermore, the analytical method was used to determine whether the community wants to use the trans Sumatra rail mode and the implementation of new services to integrate with a Seamless system in train operations. Studies have not been previously conducted on a Seamless door-to-door service. The result showed a need for new service attributes in the rail transportation mode by making the train flexible with door-to-door service and the implementation of a Seamless Service with 1 ticket.
