40% of areas in Indonesia are still using rainwater as a source for irrigation. Type of wetland rainwater always depends on weather that is currently difficult to predict. In addition, the frequency of field cultivation became limited. Irrigation water can come from a dam or a spring in the mountains. Limited water source generates the need to manage water distribution in all areas of rice fields. For every 1 hectare fields, at least 0.5 litres of water per second is needed. The imbalance between the field and the available water discharge can cause conflicts in the Community farmers manage field. The purpose of this research is to assist in the Assembly Of Farmer Water users ("Perkumpulan Petani Pemakai Air" or "P3A") manage the scheduling and controlling irrigation sluice based IoT using mobile applications. The waterfall process model applied in developing mobile applications. Every feature that is created has been tested directly using Unit tests based on the application of the system used. The test is done by observing the system inputs and outputs of the system usability scale (SUS). Tests are also carried out using Post-Study with method of the SUS.
Water is a critical element in agriculture fields. One of them, paddies. In this research developed the smart irrigation system to real-time monitoring that provided the water level information based on Android. The prototype system made using the ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04) to detect the water level, and the NodeMCU-ESP8266 conducted control system and wireless communication. The fuzzy algorithm provided the Sugeno model in the order. The research achieved RMSE of 0.41, the water monitoring displayed on Android, and reduced time consuming to open gate system
Requirement prioritization (RP) is a crucial task in managing requirements as it determines the order of implementation and, thus, the delivery of a software system. Improper RP may cause software project failures due to over budget and schedule as well as a low-quality product. Several factors influence RP. One of which is requirements dependency. Handling inappropriate handling of requirements dependencies can lead to software development failures. If a requirement that serves as a prerequisite for other requirements is given low priority, it affects the overall project completion time. Despite its importance, little is known about requirements dependency in RP, particularly its impacts, types, and techniques. This study, therefore, aims to understand the phenomenon by analyzing the existing literature. It addresses three objectives, namely, to investigate the impacts of requirements dependency on RP, to identify different types of requirements dependency, and to discover the techniques used for requirements dependency problems in RP. To fulfill the objectives, this study adopts the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Applying the SLR protocol, this study selected forty primary articles, which comprise 58% journal papers, 32% conference proceedings, and 10% book sections. The results of data synthesis indicate that requirements dependency has significant impacts on RP, and there are a number of requirements dependency types as well as techniques for addressing requirements dependency problems in RP. This research discovered various techniques employed, including the use of Graphs for RD visualization, Machine Learning for handling large-scale RP, decision making for multi-criteria handling, and optimization techniques utilizing evolutionary algorithms. The study also reveals that the existing techniques have encountered serious limitations in terms of scalability, time consumption, interdependencies of requirements, and limited types of requirement dependencies.
The development of the Internet of Things (IOT) device is now increasingly mushrooming throughout the region, especially the region which is currently incessantly applying the concept of smart city. The development of IOT (Internet of things) architecture is growing very rapidly with the number of IoT devices currently. This is directly proportional to the increasing number of data transmission protocols that can be used for the IOT device communication lines. The problem that arises is that many IoT devices require a real time connection to support the method of sending and receiving data. In this study researchers chose the use of web protocols to solve the problem, because a web protocol that is universal can be used in various devices. The web protocol used is websocket that can be used to support communication in real time. The implementation of the protocol websocket as a web protocol on Arduino devices that is supported by an Ethernet shield as a communication path to the internet with case studies monitoring temperature, soil humidity and controlling the irrigation sluice.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
