The mangrove ecosystem has functions that important for econimic and ecology. Increased utilization activities that are damaging accompanied decline mangrove area, it is appropriate rehabilitaion condition and maintenance mangrove ecosystem. Improvement effort rehabilitation mangrove ecosystem. The aim mangrove rehabilitation effort for restore ecosystem. Study aimed to determine the extent of damage level, area suitability biophysical and mangrove specieses planted. The survey method used measurement directly to determine the damage level and area suitability biophysical assesment. The Results showed mangrove ecosystem destruction overall research stations are medium damaged condition. Analysis suitability index (IKW) showed that mangrove ecosystem overall stations were suitable rehabilitation area. The mangrove specieses are Rhizophora sp, Bruguiera sp, Sonneratia sp, Xylocarpus sp, Scyphiphora hydrophyllacea and Heritiera littoralis sustable to planting.
Length-weight relationship (LWR) species Epinephelus fuscoguttatus Forsskål, 1775 by gender (male and female) were collected from September 2016 to June 2017 in Bobong Taliabu waters, North Maluku, Indonesia. Fish captured using bottom trap, size 80 x 60 x 35 cm with mesh size 5 cm. LWRs of significant male and female E. fuscoguttatus (P<0.05) were calculated as W = 0.0098 L 3.1475 (r 2 = 0.9252), W = 0.0752 L 2.5030 (r 2 = 0.9029), and W = 0.9987 L 1.6789 (r 2 = 0.9093) for both. This study recorded the new maximum length by sex of E. fuscoguttatus.
Alat tangkap bubu dasar di perairan kepulauan ternate provinsi Maluku Utara masih banyak digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendisain bubu dasar sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil tangkapan yang diinginkan, menentukan efektifitas disain bubu dasar untuk menangkap ikan target berdasarkan aspek biologis, aspek teknis, dan aspek ekonomis, kemudian menganalisis kelayakan usaha dari desain alat tangkap bubu dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga jenis alat tangkap bubu dasar yaitu bubu dasar hasil disain tipe '+', bubu dasar hasil disain tipe Y, dan bubu dasar tradisional yang biasa dipakai nelayan di Kepulauan Ternate. Pengoperasian ketiga tipe bubu dasar dilaksanakan selama 30 kali secara bersamaan. Analisis dilakukan terhadap aspek biologis, aspek teknis dan aspek ekonomis. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa disain alat tangkap bubu dasar tipe '+' lebih efektif untuk menangkap ikan target berdasarkan aspek biologis, aspek teknis, dan aspek ekonomis dibandingkan alat tangkap bubu dasar tradisional. Penggunaan desain alat tangkap bubu ‚+‛ dapat meningkatkan hasil tangkapan ikan demersal ekonomis penting. Hasil analisis R/C rasio dan BEP, disain alat tangkap bubu dasar tipe '+' layak secara ekonomis untuk dikembangkan oleh nelayan sebagai jenis alat tangkap bubu alternatif.
