The purpose of the article is to describe the use of social media as a publication media in and for educational institutions. This publication is to provide information that is easily accessible by all levels of society. The provision and dissemination can be done on various social media. Social media is a media platform that focuses on the existence of users which facilitates them in their activities and collaboration. The development of social media publications is utilized by various institutions, including educational institutions. Social media publications play an important role in disseminating institutional information, institutional excellence, institutional curriculum, and so on. Based on these needs, this community service was carried out at Pondok Modern Muhammadiyah Pakusari to meet their needs in developing publications on social media. So far, the publications on social media that have been carried out are still limited. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that there will be new skills in managing publications on social media for the dissemination of institutional information. This publication will also be an efficient and effective promotional media. The activity is carried out with a workshop pattern, starting with the provision of materials, guided practice, hands-on practice, and evaluation of activities. To make the activity material easy to understand, the community service implementation team has provided an activity module, so that it can be read after the activity. Based on the activity, five recommendations for social media that are suitable for use in institutional publications are given, namely Facebook, youtube, website, Instagram, and TikTok. The Muhammadiyah Pakusari Islamic Boarding School has a Facebook page and also a page, website, and youtube. Instagram and TikTok will be developed after this activity.
Keterampilan menulis membutuhkan kompetensi dan keterampilan berbahasa yang kompleks. Keterampilan menulis ini setidaknya membutuhkan keterampilan menyimak dan membaca. Karena membutuhkan keterampilan berbahasa yang kompleks, ditemukan banyak kesulitan dalam menulis yang dialami oleh siswa dari kelas rendah sampai kelas tinggi. Di MA Alittihad Alislami, kesulitan menulis juga dirasakan oleh siswa. Kesulitan tersebut berupa kekurangpamahaman konsep-konsep menulis baik kegiatan menulis praktis dan menulis ilmiah. Kegiatan menulis praktis dalam kegiatan ini dibatasi pada menulis komponen di majalah dinding. Untuk itu, kegiatan ini didesain kegiatan untuk bisa memberikan solusi pada permasalahan tersebut. Kegiatan dalam pengabdian pada masyarakat kali ini berupa pelatihan, penugasan, dan umpan balik. Dengan desain kegiatan ini, diharapkan siswa bisa menulis praktis dan ilmiah sesuai dengan tagihan masing-masing. Pada pelatihan, siswa sudah mulai memahami konsep menulis praktis dan ilmiah. Pada penugasan, siswa memperbaiki tulisan (ilmiah dan praktis) yang telah disusun sebelumnya sesuai dengan materi yang diberikan. Pada umpan balik, disampaikan masukan dan koreksi atas produk yang telah ditulis oleh siswa. Kemampuan menulis tidak serta merta akan meningkat dengan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini, karena keterampilan menulis membutuhkan pembiasaan. Pembiasaan menulis dengan kaidah yang benar akan menjadikan siswa berkompetensi dalam aneka kegiatan menulis. Oleh sebab itu, peran guru dalam membiasakan kegiatan menulis dibutuhkan dalam setiap pembelajaran.
This study examines the natural phenomena on the development of lemma and meaning in the variety of languages used by adolescents on social media. Research design was done naturally through the process of observation, taking notes, and writing down the case. The qualitative research appears in the development of the entry which is easily found as a definite phenomenon of linguistic development. The data collection method was carried out by tracing data on the use of various languages on social media. To analyze the data, the researcher uses padan and agih methods. This method is to test the accuracy of classification on the types of language used by adolescents in social media in the development of the entry and or the development of the meaning of the entry. The results showed that the variety of languages on social media is very dynamic, developing, arbitrary, but conventional. The variety of languages indicates the development of new lemmas, acronyms, and walikan. The development of meaning is marked along with the development of the entry in the form of synonyms and the use of the Indonesian language entry in the form of a polysemic. Based on the results of this study, adolescents can be considered a productive period in exploring the language, through direct interaction or social media. Becoming actively productive in language exploration led to a potential for concepting a new lemma and a new meaning according to the context of language use. In addition, this development becomes one proof of the self-existence of adolescence, community characteristics, and also the need for the development of Indonesian vocabulary.
The present study is aimed to describe the development of an innovated learning for the disabled students in higher education. The development of learning innovation was performed by developing a learning model, that is what so-called Universal Design model (DUE). The method implemented to develop the model was Research and Development). This method constitutes several stages, among others: 1) needs analysis, 2) gathering information, 3) designing a product, 4) validating the product, 5) revising the product, 6) trying out the product, 7) revising the product, and 8) consolidating the product. The result of the research shows that the produc, in this case is DUE learning model, has met the criteria after going through several tests from the experts, thus valid.
