The general development of the sports world has guided researchers in sports science to study excellence in sports performance, namely, the study of the characteristics and requirements specific to each sport. However, in order to meet these requirements, each individual must have a set of specific characteristics similar to those of the group to which he/she belongs. The variables in the study are related to the psychomotor abilities and psychological aspects that could influence the overall performance of junior III handball players. The main work instruments are related to field testing and psychological characteristics measurement. For psychomotor abilities, we used means such as the TReactionCo software (eye–hand coordination), Just Jump platform (dynamic balance), Tractronix system (general dynamic coordination), and Illinois test (spatial-temporal orientation), and for the psychological characteristics, we used the Motivational Persistence Questionnaire. In addition, the result of the study is represented by new software that we created in order to better observe the level of development of these characteristics in junior handball players. From a statistical point of view, we calculated the correlations between psychomotor abilities and psychological characteristics using ANOVA in order to see field position differences and performed linear regression for the variables of this study.
In team sports, the essential factors in achieving performance are represented by speed and agility, expressed in conditions of high intensity and high volume. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationships between speed, agility and effort in women's soccer, rugby and handball. At the same time, we want to compare these parameters in order to determine the profile for each discipline. The research analyzed 49 performance women athletes from the first leagues of Romania, divided into 3 groups: soccer, rugby and handball. To evaluate the speed we applied the 10 m test. Agility was assessed using samples 505 and 1001. Anaerobic effort capacity was assessed by the 8x10 + 10m and aerobic effort capacity by the VAM-Eval test. The Pearson correlation showed a direct relationship between 505 and 1001, for all groups. Significant correlations were shown between speed and agility, the effort capacity being also involved in the detected interferences.
Culture is considered the vector that influences directly management activity, which must be carried out efficiently and in a professional manner, in order to obtain performances. Knowledge of the models of cultural analysis, elaborated by researchers such as: G. Hofstede, F. Trompenaars, Ed. Hall, etc. constitute a manager's support to understand cultural specificity and location, be this a country, a region, or an area, in which he or she operates or will operate. Training managers from a cultural point of view has become an important requirement nowadays in Romania, irrespective of whether they work in organisations abroad or in various cultural areas in Romania. Key words: intercultural management, culture area.
Step aerobics is a form of practicing of aerobic fitness representing an efficient and pleasant alternative in the process of obtaining optimal physical condition. The purpose of this study is the confirm the hypothesis according to which the practiceof step aerobics routines middle-aged women has an important role in improving the quality of life. The research was carried out throughout the year 2018, on a sample of 20 female adults attending Clubul D inIaşi, who were divided into two groups: experimental and witness and it was carried out throughout three phases: phase I: selecting and studying bibliography, developing the research plan and determining the sample; phase II: applying the initial tests: Body mass index-BMIand Ruffier Test; phase III: applying the final tests, comparatively analysing the results and the progress obtained, to point out the conclusions. In order to analyse the results we used the ANOVA statistical analysis test. The resultsindicate that the independent variable that we applied does not influence the results of the IMC (p= 0,2805), but the Ruffier index presents statistically significant changes (p=˂0,0001). As a general conclusion, we want to emphasize that the sport for heath, more exactly the step-aerobic programs, improves the negative effects of some diseases, the physical deficiencies, functional or trauma to which the human body may be subjected, and thus contributing to its recovery. The beneficial effects of the step-aerobic programs can contribute in a good measure to improve the quality of life.
This paper addresses to those who wish to understand managerial activity and what organizational culture represents in the Romanian context, both related to the field of sport and sports organizations. Its objective is to endow the people interested with theoretical and applicative information within a well-known field – management – about a “pillar” that has been intensely and thoroughly studied in Romania mostly after the 90s: organizational culture. The interest for their own organization (i.e. an education establishment – school/theoretical high school/vocational high-school, faculty, university, sports club, sports association, firm, etc) shown by the manager and by his collaborators to obtain results/ performances is not a recent one. In exchange, the competition on the market of obtaining and training valuable human resources (pupils/ university students/ athletes/ teachers/ coaches) shifts the attention of sports top-managers toward a managerial activity, which aims to be effective in the field of sport or education.
