Angewandte Chemie,a saleading chemistry journal, has the responsibility to foster an inclusive environment in chemistry for all. We see the world around us changing,a nd we are changing with it. Together with the German Chemical Society, GDCh, which owns the journal, we are shaping anew version of our journal, with diversity,e quity,a nd inclusion (DE&I), transparency, and ac ontinued commitment to scientific excellence as the guiding principles.

Over the past months, the Angewandte Chemie Council and the Executive Committee have carefully reflected on the role of the International Advisory Board (IAB) as we continue to transform Angewandte Chemie into a more inclusive home for excellent science. With the announcement of our redefined IAB in this Editorial, the new governance structure of Angewandte Chemie is completed.
