The temperature dependence of the permittivity, dc and ac electrical conductivity, specific heat, temperature diffusivity, and thermal conductivity of CsNO3 single crystals are measured at increasing and decreasing temperature between 20 to 370°C. It is found that in a wide temperature range below the critical point only small changes occur. The transition region of the CsNO3 crystal is more narrow that for the other alkali nitrates. In this region anomalies of the thermal and electrical characteristics are found. Above the critical point are only linear changes of the investigated characteristics, which confirm, and also from the hystersis of the characteristics, the stability of the high temperature phase.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
