The mechanism of VC-polymerization under the action of the catalytic system Ti(OBu)4 -AlCl(i-Bu)2 has been studied . The kinetic equations for the VC-polymerization and the catalyst components interaction reaction are in agreement with the mechanism involving bimolecular termination reaction.The relationship between the reciprocal degrees and rates of polymerization enables the evaluation of the relative constant kt/kp2 which practically coincides with that reported in literature for a VC-radical polymerization. That supports the radical mechanism of the process. The mechanism of the initiation is suggested, which is in accordance with kinetic equations found.
