Within the solution of the vehicle roadway interaction problems the various computing models of the road can be used. The results of the solution show that under certain conditions also simpler computing models can offer applicable results. The submitted paper is dedicated to the comparison of the results obtained from simpler road computing model and from the model based on the finite element method.
Abstract. Concrete roads may have different layout arrangement. The structures made of isolated prefabricated slabs are used for the construction of temporary roadways. The paper deals with numerical simulation of moving load effect on isolated slabs on elastic foundation. The computing model of a lorry and computing model of a slab are introduced. The deflections at the middle of the slab and tire forces of vehicle are modeled under various conditions. The influence of speed of vehicle motion and influence of initial conditions are evaluated. The results are presented in time domain in graphical and numerical manner.
The paper is dedicated to the dynamical analysis of an isolated concrete slab on an elastic foundation to moving load effect of one axle load. The computational models of one axle load and a slab are mathematically described by the system of ordinary differential equations. The equations of motion are solved numerically in the environment of program system MATLAB. The plate response and dynamic load are monitored at a certain speed and certain initial conditions, depending on the properties of the elastic subgrade.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
