Pandemi Covid-19 ini memberikan dampak terhadap lapisan masyarakat salah satunya yaitu pendidikan di Indonesia. Banyak terjadi perubahan dalam dunia pendidikan, seperti kegiatan pembelajaran yang biasanya dilaksanakan di sekolah menjadi kegiatan pembelajaran tanpa adanya tatap muka yaitu daring. Pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan secara daring ini terdapat permasalahan yaitu terkadang saat pembelajaran siswa terkendala oleh jaringan yang lemah. Selain itu, siswa dan guru terbatas untuk membahas materi karena pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring. Sehingga dibutuhkan alternatif lain dalam pembelajaran yaitu program homeschooling. Dalam pembelajaran homeschooling ini, agar siswa tetap mengikuti pembelajaran secara efektif dan mempunyai minat belajar yang tinnggi maka memerlukan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan siswa. Model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa dan membuat siswa lebih aktif yaitu model pembelajaran discovery learning. Sehingga pembelajaran tentang teks berita ini menggunakan penerapan model discovery learning untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran melalui program homeschooling dan bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran disccovery learning untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa tentang teks berita. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Fokus dari penelitian ini yaitu meningkatkan minat belajar tentang teks berita dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran discovery learning. Sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan observasi atau pengamatan secara langsung. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode analisis data deskriptif kualitatif. hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa suatu pembelajaran pada saat pandemi ini menggunakan pembelajaran alternatif lain yaitu melalui program homeschooling. Meskipun pembelajaran dilakukan secara homeschooling, pembelajaran harus tetap efektif dan menyenangkan dengan menggunakan penerapan suatu model pembelajaran discovery learning. Penerapan model ini pada teks berita ini melalui program homeschooling dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa.
<p>The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of implementing a project-based learning model. This study used design of classroom action research in two cycles. The instrument used was in the form of a test instrument to measure the results of knowledge and skills tests, as well as non-test instruments to find out student activity data. The subjects in this study were 42 5A grade students of Indonesian Language Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University Surakarta, who attended learning tool courses in the odd semester of 2017/2018. Based on the results of the study, aspects of knowledge, skills, and attitudes of students in the basic concepts, classifications, and criteria of visual learning tool for elementary and junior high school students have increased after using the project-based learning model. The results of the knowledge test showed that the average class score on the cycle was 48.7, the first cycle was 48.67, then in the second cycle, it increased to 84.45 in the excellent category. As for the results of the skill test, the pre-cycle class average value is 69.69, the first cycle is 75.64, and in the second cycle is 84.06. The results of the non-data data analysis also showed an increase in student activity. In prusiks the percentage of students who are passive is 16.67%, in cycle one it is reduced to 11.90%, then in cycle 2, it is only 9.52%. When pre-cycle the percentage of students active during lectures is 47.62%, then during period one it increases to 52.38%, and in cycle two it becomes 59.52%.</p>
Internalizing the understanding of the character and multicultural educations is a mandatory matter that must always be established in the learning process to prevent nation disintegration. As an alternative, literature appreciation can be conducted with the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach. In the CLIL approach, the theory of teaching material selection used in learning activities refers to the concept of 4C (content, communication, cognition, culture). Through the 4C concept, the variety of teaching materials and literary texts used will be better in grading and comply with the vision to internalize character education and multiculturalism to the learners. Based on its literary analysis, Komik AKU KPK, Tiga Pahlawan Tanpa Tanda Jasa, and Anak Indonesia Hebat contain the values of religious, multicultural, love, faith, responsibility, tolerance, hard work, independent, creative, curiosity, and social care character, that can be applied as a suitable basis for students life development.
