During a cytogenetic study of the aged population (80 years or older) in a Veterans Administration Domiciliary, we found a 90-year-old man whose karyotype showed a 13/14 translocation, evidenced by radioautographic examinations. His karyotype: 45, XY, 13-, 14-, t(13q14q) + was found in blood and skin cultures and in direct bone marrow studies. This man is in good general health; his previous reproductive ability is questionable. The translocation was compatible with its carrier’s longevity. The latter was present in his whole family.
