In the new norm era, children learn online from home. YouTube is used as a learning media to increase interest in learning English vocabulary. This qualitative descriptive study describes; how does YouTube affect the acquisition of English vocabulary and what is the impact of YouTube on the acquisition of English vocabulary. The study population was 7-8-year-old children. The research data is watching short English film and singing very simple English song from YouTube. The results of this study indicate that it is easier for children to pronounce and remember English words
Teaching a foreign language especially vocabulary for very young learners are more challenging than teaching an adult. Interesting and fun activities are needed for very young learners to enhance their abilities to learn new foreign language vocabulary. If teachers do not use appropriate teaching methods to teach English vocabulary, the achievement of the learning process may not work well. One of the methods that can be used is the phonic method. This study intends to find out the effect of the phonics method to enhance very young learners' English vocabulary. This is qualitative research. The population of this research is 15 children of one playgroup in Tahuna Sangihe Regency, who are 4 to 5 years old. This research data is learning activity at single-letter-sound. The research data are learning activity at single-letter-sound. In every activity, young learners are introduced three single-letter-phonics sound at the beginning of the words. There are two steps to do this activity; 1. To introduce a letter and its phonic sound. 2. New words gaining. As a result of this research young learners are easy to pronounce correctly and remember the letters and its sound, and the words. The result shows that the phonic method could enhance these young learners' vocabulary.
This study aims to determine the marketing margins of demersal fish in Laotongan Village. Laotongan Village, or another name for Tehang Island, is one of the islands in District of Tabukan Selatan, Regency of Sangihe Archipelago. The method used is qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods are methods that look at phenomena from non-material aspects, beyond what they appear to be, with the study of meaning as something holistic. Meanwhile, the quantitative method is a method that looks at the phenomenon from the material aspect, which is visible, the impact study, the factors that affect it as a variable. In general, fisher who catch fish in Laotongan Village use hand line, in the local language it is called Kakintu. Also, the type boat used is pumpboat. The fisher in Laotongan Village are fisher with low income, and most of the fisher have an elementary education level. Marketing margin of Demersal fish is Rp. 15,000., And the efficiency of the portion received by fisher, F = 57%, F> 50%, where the sales of demersal fish are efficient. However, fisher's welfare has not improved. One of the factors is the extravagant fisher's lifestyle. The government can pay attention to the welfare of fisher.
This study aimed to determine the socio-economic conditions related to marketing margins of demersal fish in Beeng Laut Island, Sangihe Archipelago Regency, North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, using survey methods with interview and questionnaire techniques. Most fishers on Beeng Laut Island have a primary school education, houses constructed using wood, and an age range of 20 to 30 years. Margin marketing demersal fish on Channel marketing III (P à Pp à Pe à Ka) and Channel IV (P à Pp à Rm à Ka) is inefficient due to the limited electricity supply. This has an indirect effect on fish quality due to a lack of readily available ice to handle catches. Increased demersal fish marketing efficiency may result in a significant revenue for fishers. Therefore, the government should boost energy availability to enable people create and purchase ice to aid with fish preservation. It should also establish cooperatives for fishers and provide alternative work, such as conservation activities or marine tourism development.
