Objective: most healthy and unhealthy behaviors are acquired or consolidated during youth, thus a good investment in the future of any nation, should be to promote the development of young people, incorporating them into projects and programs that aspire to increase their subjective wellbeing and personal health. The Psycho-Educational Intervention (PEI) presented here has been shown to have effects on the health and wellbeing of students as well as on their academic performance. However, its effects on strength of character, emotional balance and emotional intelligence are unknown. Materials and methods: in this paper it was shows the effects of this PEI on positive education in a group of 18 students through three questionnaires: VIA-240, PANAS-20 and PIEMO. To estimate the effects of the PEI, a comparison was made between the scores obtained on the three questionnaires before and after the PEI sessions. Results: the results show that not only did character strengths, positive affect and emotional intelligence improve with PEI, but that also the character strengths and the emotional bearings arranged in a network topography changed with intervention. Also, there were some changes in the most connected nodes of the network. Conclusions: these results show that PEI improved the previous reported variables, they also show the way in which the balance of the positive and negative affects, the development of emotional intelligence and the enhancement of character strengths give access to the three pillars of positive psychology.
Introducción: Los métodos anticonceptivos son la mejor herramienta para tener el control de la salud sexual y reproductiva porque previenen embarazos no deseados, así como infecciones de transmisión sexual, por lo tanto, el rechazo a estos podría representar posibles problemas sexuales y reproductivos para la mujer. Objetivo: Determinar cuáles son los factores que motivan a las mujeres en puerperio inmediato del servicio de Ginecología y Obstetricia de un Hospital de Veracruz a rechazar los métodos anticonceptivos. Método: Estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo de corte transversal. Resultado: La religión más frecuente de las pacientes es el catolicismo y la mayor incidencia de rechazo de estas mujeres hacia los métodos anticonceptivos fue por motivo de temor a los efectos secundarios. Conclusión: Se debe garantizar la información oportuna y científica hacia las mujeres en edad reproductiva.
Introducción: El proceso enfermero es la metodología que usa enfermería para estandarizar sus cuidados y se ha establecido como la herramienta de trabajo de la profesión dentro de la hoja institucionalizada de enfermería donde se desarrollan los registros clínicos. Objetivo: Determinar la calidad de los registros clínicos de enfermería del servicio de pediatría de un hospital del puerto de Veracruz. Metodología: Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo de corte transversal. Resultados: Al 26.9% de los registros clínicos no se les realizo el apartado de “Evaluación de Riesgo de Úlceras por Presión” y el “Riesgo de caídas”. Conclusión: Se determinó que 11.5% de los registros clínicos eran de calidad aceptable y que el 88.5% eran de calidad buena.
