Different types of shoe constructions have been developed with an unstable base including rocker bottom shoes (RBS).
Contribution/ OriginalityThis study contributes to the existing literature by combining the coordinated timing kinematics and ground reaction force (GRF) differences between walking barefoot and walking in rocker bottom shoes (RBS). GRF and transition time differences between barefoot and RBS wear suggests different strategies are used in preparation for the swing phase of gait.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
