This article presents the results of the migration of radionuclides along the soil-water-feed-animal livestock chain in the adjacent territories of the former Semipalatinsk nuclear test site (SNTS). To analyze the radio ecological situation in the territory adjacent to the SNTS, 6 stationary control points were created, from which samples of soil, water, vegetation, and animal products were taken. The radiometric method was used to determine the radioactive background of the studied areas. Gamma-, alpha-spectrometry methods were used to study the content of radionuclides. The radionuclide transfer along the soil-water-feed-animal livestock chain was determined by a calculation method and also veterinary and sanitary examination of the beef selected from these items. The research results show that in all the test points under study the EDR values, the beta-particles flux density is below the limit of permissible values. The samples detected radionuclides as Am-241, Cs-137 and Pu-239/240 not exceeding the standards established by the Hygienic standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The chain of radionuclides was transferred to animal products. The organoleptic assessment of the quality of cattle meat showed that inconsistencies are observed: a slight increase in lymph nodes, muddy broth, and surface moisture of muscle.
This paper considers a hot debate ensues in attempt to find a satisfactory answer to the question, ‘Is dyslexia real or simply a myth? This especially comes after remarks from a prominent member in the modern society, the Labour Backbench MP, Mr. Graham Stringer, who asserted that dyslexia was a myth brought forth by education practitioners as cover up for their poor methods of teaching. To a similar extent, the attempt to equally provide a yielding definition for the term dyslexia has also been vain, according to different researchers, the strings of meaning and concepts attached to the term appear to fit their own descriptions and past experiences. The end result of most consequential arguments and debates leave the matter unresolved, this is despite the fact that dyslexia, a type of disorder to many, is a term that has remained quite relevant in most social contexts in recent times. This paper discusses the various arguments that are put forward by main opponents and proponents to the existence of dyslexia, and concludes that dyslexia is a myth, and it is simply a term used broadly to describe the difficulties or limited abilities in demonstrating literary skills, as identified in different people, especially leaners in education contexts
In this article, freshwater invertebrates are studied. Lake Zaisan is considered as an object. The article updates the list of invertebrate fauna of Lake Zaisan, which is currently relevant. The article presents steps for collecting invertebrates and determining their species composition. According to the results of the study, the species composition of thirty-nine invertebrates was determined. The author notes that the species composition of invertebrates is higher on the coast than in the lake environment, that is, the number of planktonic invertebrates is higher than that of benthos invertebrates. The author notes that the Reed thickets and kelp areas along the Lake Shore are a favorable environment for the growth of benthos organisms, that is, the predominance of benthos invertebrates, and on the sandy shores of the lake there are no invertebrates. In the course of the study, it was found that the lake is dominated by OAR-footed Scorpions, oligochetes, chironomid larvae, ashamurt Scorpions, slug worms. High-altitude Scorpions, leeches, leeches, and water mites are rare. The article considers the problem of reducing the water level of Lake Zaisan from one hundred to five hundred meters over the past year. It is worth noting that the number of benthos organisms has also decreased, as the areas of coastal reeds and algae have dried up. In addition, it is concluded that the ichthyofauna of the lake has also decreased. The result of this research work can be applied to the standard curriculum of the discipline zoology. The information contained in the article can be used by students studying at biological faculties of higher educational institutions, biology teachers in secondary schools. It will be interesting for secondary schools near Lake zaisan to use the identified invertebrates and their photos as a local component.
The article reveals the process of changing the approach to teaching, which makes it possible to improve the teaching methodology and contributes to increasing the level of knowledge of each student.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
