The movement was born as a form of sympathy from some community groups for the discrimination against women. However, the reality of this movement cannot bring about significant changes. Even discrimination against women is increasing yearly, so the relevance of this movement is questioned. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to discuss the relevance of the feminist movement in Arabic quotes. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data source in this study was taken from the book "Qooluu" by Anis Mansour. Data collection techniques in this study used reading techniques and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used in this study uses Miles and Huberman's data analysis technique, which consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that two actions show the relevance of the feminist movement, namely: (1) social criticism, which is represented in three forms, namely (a) subordinate women, (b) marginalization of women, (c) stereotypes of women; (2) women's privileges, Anis mentions women's privileges in his quote to awaken the public which is represented in five forms (a) strong or tough (b) forgiving (c) beautiful and charming (d) loyal (e) multitasking. This research opens public insight into the role of the feminist movement in opposing discrimination, which is not just a mere discourse. The drawback of this research is that it only reveals the relevance of the feminist movement and does not provide a solution to maximize this movement. The researcher hopes that this research will become a reference for future research as well as complement the shortcomings of this research so that it can contribute to the feminist movement.
Each language has its own rules and pattern and a certain tendency. Language games are the rules of language for a particular purpose. Nawal Sa'dawi uses denotative meaning as criticism and disagreement about existing social phenomena. Therefore, this study aims to determine the form of language games in the book "al-Mar'ah wa al-Jins" by Nawal Sa'dawi based on the perspective of Ludwig Wittgenstein. This study uses an interpretation method to express linguistic diction in books and their meanings as human expressions. This study uses Wittgenstein's hermeneutic approach to reveal linguistic facts from the book's narrative. The source of this research data is taken from the book "Al-Mar'ah wa al-Jins" by Nawal Sa'dawi. Data collection techniques in this study used reading techniques and note-taking techniques. The analysis of this research uses the technique of analyzing the philosophy of language from Ludwig's perspective. The results of this study indicate that there are four kinds of language games in the book "al-Mar'ah wa al-Jins" by Nawal Sa'dawi, namely: (1) emphasis; (2) feminist language; (3) sarcasm; and (4) subtle persuasion. This language game aims to reveal facts and as a form of assertiveness from its users upon request or support.
Spirituality poetry generally contains elements of beauty and aesthetics, so it tends to display linguistics and literature. Sa‘dūn’s poetry has its uniqueness with spiritual content in it. Spirituality in Sa‘dūn’s poetry describes the close relationship between man and God, which is reflected in the form of criticism of society. Therefore, this study aims to determine the form of spirituality in Sa‘dūn’s poetry. This research method uses content analysis by using Ibn ‘Arabī’s hermeneutics approach in its interpretation. The results of this study indicate two things, namely: (1) essence of death in the first poem contains three important pieces of advice, namely life in this world, life in the afterlife, and prepare for death; and (2) essence of ma‘rifah contained in the second Sa‘dūn’s poetry shows Sa‘dūn’s closeness to God as evidenced by two things, namely zuhud and world prevents towards Allah. This study is important in expanding the study of Ibn ‘Arabi’s hermeneutics which is usually only used to interpret the inner meaning in the Qur’ān and ḥadīth. Hermeneutics can also be used in other literary works such as poetry, novels, short stories, etc.
