It is an established fact that the progress of any nation is not determined only by the material prosperity of its inhabitants rather one of the yardsticks, in this regard, is the lasting peace and tranquility, that its inhabitants enjoy. All the benefits of the material prosperity are marred by the absence of peace. One of the solid reasons to threaten the fabric of peace among societies and nations is the violation of civil human rights. When the individuals of a society feel threats to their rights, then anarchy comes into existence and destroys the very peaceful fabric of society. Factions of society become intolerant to one another. There starts a clash of cultures and ideologies. Different societies have been practicing various stoical philosophies to create peace among its individuals bit in so far as, they have not been successful in spite of its tremendous enlightm-ent. The undertaken research is an attempt, in this regard, to highlight the multi dimensional preaching of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in promoting peace among religions and societies. The undertaken study establishes that only the true adherence with the holy prophet’s (PBUH) preaching of tolerance can promote the lasting peace among religions and cultures.
The political and theological scenes took a drastic change in the Muslim Ummah of Asia and to some extent in Europe and America after the September 11, 2001 attacks on the twin towers. It seriously affected the Muslims populated regions and the Diasporas stretching from East to West (Solomn, 2007)[i]. Apparently, Islam faced many threats from the secular West in the form of socio-political sanctions. However, this catastrophic incident also ignited in Muslims to review their Muslims identity and to launch an organized effort to establish the real identity of Islam. The undertaken investigation is an attempt in this regard that how the protagonist Changez in Mohsin Ahmad’s “Reluctant Fundamentalist” shapes into a Islamic fundamentalist after 9/11 attacks and comes back to Pakistan although he was a having a promising career in America that time.
Error-free printing of Qur’ānic Text is a collective duty of all Muslims. The fact remains that Muslims have performed this duty with devotion and rightly. They also arranged sittings to discuss "Rasm" and " Ḍabt"(رسم اور ضبط) to understand the crux of matter and provide an expression to the most authentic text. No Muslim can intentionally commit any kind of mistake in the text of Qur’ān. However, such possibilities of error cannot be denied due to negligence and inadvertency. The Ministry for Religious Affairs has made it obligatory for all the printing institutions of Qur’ānic text to follow the model of the Qur’ānic manuscript, produced by Anjman Ḥimāyat-e-Islām, yet many Qur’ānic manuscripts with errors are present in the market. Such manuscripts are not only present in some mosques, but also recited. It causes problems in recitation of those verses and might changing the meaning of them. This article points out such scriptures and errors, so it can be identified and to take steps for preventive measures for such errors in future. This article also suggests some policies and strategies for publishing of Qur’ān for avoiding misprints errors.
