Perkembangan psikososial anak usia prasekolah atau sekitar 3-6 tahun berada di tahap inisiatif versus rasa bersalah. Orang tua sebagai lingkungan terdekat anak mempunyai peran yang penting dalam mendukung perkembangan sang anak. Salah satu hal yang dapat mendukung perkembang anak ialah pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh orang tua. Pola asuh merupakan hubungan atau pola interaksi antara orang tua dan anak untuk memenuhi kebutuhan fisik dan psikologis anak. Pola asuh terbagi menjadi tiga jenis, salah satunya otoriter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah dampak dari pola asuh otoriter terhadap perkembangan psikososial anak di usia prasekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa studi literatur. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa pola asuh otoriter memiliki berbagai dampak pada perkembangan psikososial anak usia prasekolah seperti kurang mandiri, sulit mengambil keputusan, dan sulit mengontrol emosi. The psychosocial development of preschool children or 3-6 years is in the initiative versus guilt stage. Parents as the closest environment for children have an important role in supporting the development of the child. One of the things that can support the proliferation of children is parenting applied by parents. Parenting is a relationship or pattern of interaction between parents and children to meet the physical and psychological needs of children. Parenting style are divided into three types, one of which is authoritarian. This study aims to examine the impact of authoritarian parenting on the psychosocial development of children at preschool age. The method used in this research is a literature study. The results of this study found that authoritarian parenting has a variety of impacts on the psychosocial development of preschool-aged children such as lack of independence, difficulty making decisions, and difficulty controlling emotions.
