Sidodadi village, Tempurejo sub-district is one of the villages in the southern part of Jember Regency. The majority of the population works in the agricultural sector. The village is known as an agriculture-based village in Jember Regency. The “Ngudi Rejeki” Farmer's Group in Sidodadi Village, Tempurejo District, Jember is constrained by the problem of increasing non-subsidized fertilizer prices which makes it an obstacle in increasing agricultural yields. On the other hand, the regulation of subsidized fertilizers is quite limited among farmers so that it is suspected that it will increase production costs. The results of direct discussions with partners revealed an interesting fact that the average use of chemical fertilizers is very high even though currently the use of organic fertilizers can reduce production costs with the basic ingredients for making fertilizers derived from agricultural production residues. This area has a lot of waste rice straw and cow dung that has not been utilized. Some of the solutions offered to deal with partner problems include socializing the use of organic fertilizers, one of which is trichocompost fertilizer as a substitute for the use of chemical fertilizers, demonstrations on how to make trichocompost fertilizer with cow dung as raw material with the biodecomposer Trichoderma sp. This extension activity is carried out with a participatory approach, which means that farmers as extension participants are actively involved in the activity. The method used in the implementation of community service is socialization, discussion, and demonstration of making trichocompost fertilizer. The results of the socialization of trichocompost organic fertilizer obtained as many as 77% of farmers interested in using trichocompost fertilizer as soil improvement fertilizer.
Durian (Durio zibethinus Murr.) has a great sale value, beside its delicious flavor; it also contains variety of nutrients such as Vitamins B, C, E and Iron that are beneficial for human health. The main problems in improving the local durian is limited availability of quality seeds. Durian development undertaken by local farmers generally from generative, thereby causing the vegetative phase takes longer (about 7-10 years) and make generative phase come later. It is one of the obstacles in the productivity and quality of durian. It is one of the obstacles in the productivity and quality of durian. But with advances in technology, these obstacles can be overcome by using a mini-graft method to produce superior durian seedling. The purposes of this research are to get the right age and precentage of shade on grafted durian seedling and to determine the influence on growth and yield of grafted plants. This research conducted on january – oktober 2016 on Durio Kingdom Farm, Ngantang, Malang Regency on 660 asl. The experiment was conducted using split plot design. The main plot is percentage shade (N): shade 0%, shade 40%, shade 60% and shade 80%, while the subplots are seedlings (A) is 15 weeks age rootstock, 17 weeks age rootstock and 19 weeks age rootstock. The results of this study showed that 17 weeks Age seeds give better results, shade are gives better results for use in plant nurseries durian is shade with a density of 40%.

The aim of the research was to determine the increase in soil fertility and chile production on sandy soils due to the effect of giving organic matter, zeolite sand and cane blotong. The research started in May-November. The research was conducted in a greenhouse using a completely randomized design. The treatments given were the dosage of organic fertilizer (20 and 40 tonnes ha-1); the zeolite doses (20 and 40 tonnes ha-1) and cane blotong (20 and 40 tonnes ha-1). The observation variables included the level of soil fertility before and after and the chili production variable. The results of this study were the application of organic fertilizers, zeolites and cane blotong increased physical and chemical properties of sandy soil occurred after treatment. The effect of various treatments was only able to increase chili/fruit weight and chili fruit diameter, whereas zeolite was only able to increase the weight / plant of chilies and the number of chilies.
