The limits of the city's environmental capability in supporting living creatures depend on the conditions, activities and governance within them. This research aimed to identify the condition and environmental problems in urban areas, identify the ability of the city (carrying capacity) in accommodating the development of urban activities, and to formulate the sustainable urban environment status of Surakarta. Research Variables include 3 main parameters, Parameter (1) Environmental Condition consisting of Water, Air, Natural Disaster, Land and Forest; Parameters (2) Pressure on the Environment consisting of Settlement, Agriculture and Livestock, Industry and Waste , Transportation,; Paramater (3) Environmental Management covering the Institusion, policies, program/action, budgeting. Analysis used in this research is Analysis Pressure-State-Response. Primary data collection is done by field observation and secondary data is done by survey of related institutions and literature review. Result of this research Pressure as the underlying factor / limiting in handling the count, State provides benefits to human life activities in the city area, Response serves as a recovery, rehabilitation and anticipation of the environment and governance in managing / organizing human life activities in the city area.
This research was conducted on 4 aspects, namely: (1) Aspect of Urban Green Open Space, (2) Aspect of Urban Land Use, (3) Aspect of Urban Land Utilization, and (4) Aspect of Public Green Open Space. Research methods are using Geographic Information System (GIS), research framework adopt from Peraturan Menteri PU no 12 / PRT / M / 2009 (Pedoman Penyediaan dan Pemanfaatan Ruang Terbuka Non Hijau Di Wilayah Kota/Kawasan Perkotaan ) and Peraturan Menteri PU no 05/PRT/M/2008 ( Pedoman Penyediaan dan Pemanfaatan Ruang Terbuka Hijau di Wilayah Kota/Kawasan Perkotaan). Result of research that (1) understanding of public green open space, (2)The occurrence of change of public green open space and (3) the existing area of Public green open space of Surakarta City to the total city area as a whole.
Management of the environmental impact of hotel buildings, especially the type of hotel cabin, must be following the environment's capabilities and carrying capacity. This study aims to find out Sustainable Environmental Impact Management Planning that is following the abilities and carrying capacity of the surrounding environment, especially in Cabin Hotel type buildings. Research Variables include two main parameters, Parameter (1) The Scale Of Activity and Parameter (2) The Environmental Impacts that are caused. The analysis used in this research is a quantitative analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the scale of the activity was land use for buildings and parking at 48.53% of the total land area, water use at 4.8 m3 / day, waste generated at 28 kg/day, the use of electrical energy with 33 KVA power and Genset 44 KVA, the number of hotel workers ten people. The analysis results of the availability of parking spaces are very dependent on the type of hotel and the target market segment. The conclusion from this research that the Planning for Sustainable Environmental Impact Management in the Hotel Cabin Type Building is influenced by the magnitude of the scale of activities consisting of 9 indicators namely the extent of the building, water use, the use of electricity and fuel, types of business commodities, waste generated, the amount of labor work, types of equipment and machinery, conservation of green land and the availability of parking areas. Keywords: Environmental Impact; Sustainable Environment; Cabin Hotel
This paper describes the need and implementation of digital simulation in Indonesia's architectural design of health facilities. The background of this research is based on the detail of complex architectural needs in planning and architectural design in health facilities. Simulation requirements are needed to support the analysis and design exploration stages in architectural design in health facilities. The digital simulation is expected to support the architectural planning process to produce effective, efficient, healthy, and practical designs for building and environmental comfort and optimizing health services. Using the literature review method, the results of this study are expected to contribute to designing and developing architecture in health facilities and being a reference material that is easily understood by the community and stakeholders.
The Jeron Benteng area as a strategic area in the center of Yogyakarta is a vital part of developing the city's identity and performance in increasing interest in social, cultural, economic, tourism, and other strategic activities. The Jeron Benteng area is currently one of the main tourist references in Yogyakarta, but besides that, this area is also a center of dense settlements. So that both internal and external activities, as they should, need to run side by side on an ongoing basis. This study aims to identify spatial connectivity in the distribution of occupant and visitor movements, as well as visual connectivity of spatial physical elements in realizing regional characteristics so that they can play an optimal role in supporting sustainable activities. As it is known that the road network is a vital component in meeting the needs of movement and realizing the spatial characteristics and identity of an area. This study uses an exploratory qualitative method in defining the results of the analysis of space syntax through the help of the DepthMapX software. The results of this paper are a description of the appropriate strategy to be applied in managing the use of space and roads in the Jeron Benteng area, Kraton, Yogyakarta in order to realize the characteristics of a more optimal cultural, historical, and tourism area.
