The seaweed, Kappaphycus alvarezii, is the most widely cultivated commodity in Indonesia. The problem currently faced is seedling availability due annual seasonal variations such as heavy flooding This paper presents a study aimed at solving seedling scarcity: the first based on cultivating tissue-cultured seedlings in encircling tanks. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of different initial weight on growth and carrageenan yield of K. alvarezii using tissue – cultured seedlings. This research was conducted from March to June 2019 in the Shrimp Hatchery, Kendari, Indonesia. This study applied three treatments based on different initial weight and five replications. The treatments were 5g, B: 10g and 15 g initial weights (IW). The results showed that the daily growth rate (DGR) of all treatments tended not to differ significantly but the DGR of 5-g IW tended to be higher than those of the other two treatments. The means of DGR were 3.76±0.54%/day, 3.30±0.46%/day, and 2.84±0.27%/day for 5-, 10-, and 15-g IW, respectively. Healthy rates of all treatments were 90.28%, 94.45% and 87.47% for 5-, 10- and 15-g IW. The ratio of fresh weight (FW) and dry weight (DW of 5-, 10-, and 15-g IW were 9.51:1, 9.54:1, and 9.56:1, respectively. The ratio showed no significant differences among treatments. Furthermore, for carrageenan yield, 15-g IW treatment showed the highest yield (37.05±2.18%), but had no significant differences from the other two treatments. Furthermore, all water quality parameters, temperature, salinity, DO, pH, nitrat, phosphate and turbidity were within the normal range for cultivating the seedlings. In conclusion, 5-g initial weight is a prominent weight suitable to be used in cultivating the seedlings in the encircling tank.
The problem in this research is that public services are still manual because the websites in each agency are still inadequate to provide online services, the condition of the website cannot be accessed, many pages are blank and the news displayed is not up to date, this indicates that the website of the agency from The Regional Work Units in Enrekang Regency has not met the standards set by Diskominfo in 2017. The purpose of this study is to see the quality of the website in terms of transparency, effectiveness, and efficiency. Moreover, to see the role of social media in the application of website-based e-government in the Enrekang District Work Unit (SKPD). Research using quantitative methods. The data in the study used online media from the Enrekang Regency website by looking at specific criteria from the agency website of the Regional Work Unit. The technique for calculating existing data is that if there is data available, it will be given a score of 1 and if the information is not available on the website it will be given a score of 0. The results of this study, the websites of local government agencies, are not transparent, ineffective, and inefficient. The role of social media is also not influential because there is no feedback provided by the government on input and questions given by the public.
The development of Makassar City, which from year to year increasingly signals changes to the lifestyle of the community, the increased use of vehicles, and community mobilization from one place to another is parallel to the community’s need for land or parking space. This has triggered the emergence of many illegal parking lots spread across Makassar especially on the side of public roads, shop fronts, offices, and others which are the leading causes of traffic jams in Makassar. The purpose of this research is to regulate parking management as a whole from all stakeholders, to change manual parking into e-parking so that it is more controlled, controlled, and transparent. This study uses the Nvivo analysis research method in a qualitative approach to explaining the problem of management of e-parking in cities with a data coding model. The data in the research were obtained through the online media of the South Sulawesi Province by selecting news about parking in Makassar. Out of the 717 parking points in Makassar, only a small proportion use e-parking. It is because the parking lot in Makassar City is not well controlled. There is no equitable management carried out by the government so that many parking attendants do illegal parking.
This paper discusses the diversity of identities possessed by English Language Teaching (ELT) students, as prospective English language professionals, both in terms of their socio-cultural and linguistic pluralism. In addition, the complexity of the problem of determining majors that are still often encountered in the field will also be part of the discussion in this paper. By using the narrative study method, data were collected by analyzing the results of reflections carried out by the research subjects on how they view themselves as individuals and also members of diverse communities, their experiences before starting their study period as students of English education, what strategies they overcome difficulties during their study, especially since the pandemic until at the present time. Subject selection is done by purposive sampling method. This paper is expected to provide a useful reference for students and lecturers in analyzing needs at the beginning of the study period and helping students solve the problems they experience related to major preferences, with the provision of a good introduction to the identity of prospective ELT professionals. This will support their success in language education that prioritizes respect for the linguistic and cultural diversity of others as an inseparable part of this global and unpredictable era. Furthermore, the idea is expected to give valuable insights for Transformative English Studies.
The problems in this study are the public service management system which is still manual, the lack of human resources, not understanding technology, inadequate infrastructure and the absence of transparency, accountability, efficiency and effectiveness and several villages that have been given the SIBERAS application (BUMDes Information System and Village Management) including Bulo Village, Aka-Akae, Carawali, Timoreng Panua etc. The presence of this system, the community can receive service management easily and quickly. The purpose of this study was to see the Effectiveness of Information Technology-Based Public Service Management (SIBERAS) during Covid-19 in Sidenreng Rappang. This research uses case study methods, literature studies or library research by taking reading sources from secondary data collected through textbooks, scientific journals, media track records. This type of research was analyzed qualitatively with an interactive model consisting of data presentation, data reduction, conclusion drawing and verification. The results of this study are that there are several village governments that do not use the SIBERAS application (BuMDes Management Information System and Village Government) for the Village Government and who use this application very effectively in managing Public Management, especially during Covid-19.
