Investment behavior has become a daily lifestyle of modern society. Financial investments are also growing to be an alternative, like stocks, bonds, mutual funds, foreign exchange even cryptocurrency. However, not all elements of society can accept this pattern of financial investment, even though technological advances have provided various facilities so that the public can make investment decisions anytime and anywhere. This study seeks to analyze the investment behavior of students who have finished their investment and portfolio analysis courses. In particular, this study examines the effect of investment knowledge and entrepreneurial attitude on investment intentions of the Faculty of Economics, Unimed, students with normative belief and perceived behavioral control as mediating variables. This study was conducted using a survey method using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected by online questionnaire, and the researchers have collected 87 responses. Furthermore, we used variance-based SEM to analyze the data. The results of this study indicate that entrepreneurial intention is a key variable in shaping investment intentions. Meanwhile, normative belief and perceived behavioral control are found to reduce this effect. Therefore, this study recommends inculcating an entrepreneurial attitude for students interested in becoming investors or traders.
The development of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) is currently being welcomed by the Indonesian through the growing development of digital businesses. The increasing of digital businesses nowadays must be followed by a business competition strategy, example: online shops. Therefore an analysis of the factors that impact the consumer buying interest in online shopping was needed. Thus this study aims to determine the effect of Shopping Orientation and Consumer Confidence on Consumer Buying Interest. The method used in this research is quantitative research methods. The population in this study were students of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan and the sample used was 205 people by using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique was using a questionnaire and the data analysis method was multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the research results, it is found that (1) Shopping Orientation has a positive and significant effect on Buying Interest, (2) Consumer Trust has a positive and significant effect on Buying Interest and (3) Shopping Orientation and Consumer Trust simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on Buying Interest.
This community service program aims to support the implementation of entrepreneurial learning in Budisatrya Vocational High School (SMK) in Medan Tembung Subdistrict, North Sumatera, Indonesia. Improving the implementation of entrepreneurial education is needed to obtain entrepreneurial graduates. One way to boost entrepreneurial knowledge and spirit is providing entrepreneurial knowledge for the students. This should be a serious concern considering that the entrepreneurial and business sectors play an important role in improving the economy and nation welfare. The partner in this program is Budisatrya Vocational High School (SMK) in Medan Tembung Subdistrict. The object of the training is the students of class XII. Based on the initial observations, most of the students' entrepreneurial interests are low. Besides, they are a fear of failure. Another problem is the students have a low entrepreneurial knowledge effect to the low entrepreneur motivated. Therefore, the students need to get the training and mentoring to enable them to develop their entrepreneurial knowledge. To solve the problems, the program planned are; 1) Provide training to create the entrepreneurial spirit; 2) Provide training to draw up a Business Plan; 3) Mentoring the students in drawing up a Business Plan; 4) Business Plan Evaluation.
This study aims to identify the causes of the limited absorption of the accounting information system (AIS) in SMEs that are members of the UPPKS (Upaya Peningkatan Pendapatan Keluarga Sejahtera -in English: Business to Increase Prosperous Family Income) Program in Medan City. This research is necessary because, inpreliminary research observations, the researcher found that 81.30% of SMEs who are members of the UPPKS Medan City have not used AIS in accounting records. Eventhough in this digital era, the use of information technology is regular in every activity. The sample of this research is the SMEs that are members of the UPPKS in Medan City. UPPKS is a family empowerment program to maximize economic income through entrepreneurial activities. The program is organized by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the National Population and Family Planning Agency. The data collection in this study was using an electronic questionnaire collected using the snowball method. With simple random sampling, this study managed to collect 122 data. The entire data was then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the SMEs that were members of the UPPKS in Medan City experienced Knowledge Stickiness. This condition hinders the performance of SMEs in utilizing AIS to achieve its competitive advantage. This study recommends UPPKS administrators to be able to manage SMEs' knowledge to be able to absorb knowledge from external parties and exploit it to produce measurable innovations. The innovation in question can generate increased economic benefits among SMEs.
