To provide educational and learning services to students during the Covid-19 Pandemic, learning is carried out by learning from home. The disparity in learning achievements, especially related to attitude competencies, is strongly experienced during learning from home. This study aims to integrate attitude values through learning with Ki Hajar Dewantara’s scaffolding concept comprising Identifying, Imitating, Developing, Disseminating respectively. This scaffolding is applied to strengthen the character of junior high school students in Yogyakarta Special Province to become Pancasila Students. This is a Research and Development study which applies a qualitative approach. Respondents to this study were teachers, principals, students, parents and junior high school supervisors in this province. Data were collected using focus group discussion, interview, observation.. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman models which comprised data reduction, data display and inference stages. The results of this study is a character education strengthening model during learning from home applying Ki Hajar Dewantara’s scaffolding concept. This model contributes to policy making of character education strengthening during the learning from home online.
Assessment is an integral part of the learning and teaching process. Effective formative assessment is intended to improve students’ achievement and raise teacher’s quality. However, qualified formative assessment is rarely performed in a real classroom in this pandemic era. This paper describes how senior and vocational high school teachers conduct a formative assessment in this pandemic era. It focuses primarily on the type of task and activity offered, language skills and components covered, the fulfillment of good criteria of assessment, the development of students’ critical thinking, also the strengths and weaknesses of the assessment. The data collected by means of documents assessment created by the teachers. Data analysis was conducted by employing Miles, Huberman, and Saldana’s theory. The results indicate the teachers conducted formative assessment mostly via Google Classroom and WhatsApp. In assessing speaking and reading, teachers provide various texts followed dominantly by multiple choices tests. In writing, students are assigned to share their feeling and opinion about a movie or current topic and write texts based on picture series. Teachers also employed form-focused grammar activities. It is evident that some tasks promote students’ critical thinking. However, some tasks are not well-constructed in terms of suitability with basic competence, time allotment, and the level of difficulties. Therefore, it is questionable whether the purpose to make changes to instruction can be achieved or not. Keywords: changes to instruction, formative assessment, Google Classroom, pandemic era
Industrial era 4 is the era with digitalization in various fields, including education. The need for e-learning based learning is essential to develop. The development of learning with TPACK framework (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) through learning e-learning in this research is designed by using Edmodo application. The purpose of the learning development is to internalize the technology into pedagogic, teaching materials and knowledge packed with online learning. The development model uses the Research and Development design of the 4-D model. Stage 4-D includes: define, design, develop and disseminate. The results showed that the model of online learning for the learning media course could increase the learning activity and the students can learn independently with the existing technology.

Mathematics class can cause many problems if students do not organize diversity and habits correctly. Using a sociograph to form a mathematics study group is one way to organize assortment in the mathematics class. Sociograph is a friendship pathway that appears in a math class. In this sense, this study aims to determine the impact of forming study groups based on friendship in a mathematics class on problem-solving abilities. A quasi-experimental research design with 30 students was used. A friendship questionnaire and a problem-solving test were used as instruments. In addition, an independent t-test was used to analyze the data. The study results indicate that study groups formed through friendship pathways (sociograph) have a more significant effect than those formed through other means. As a result, the formation of heterogeneous groups based on friendship can be used as an alternative to the formation of study groups.
