There is not enough information about beliefs and attitudes of the nursing students regarding giving sexual counseling to the patients. This study examined the validity and reliability of the Turkish Sexual Attitudes and Belief Survey, to determine barriers and their possible causes that affect evaluation of the sexual problems that occur because of illnesses or treatments of patients. The Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient of the survey and re-test text correlation value was found as 0.73 and 0.90, respectively (P \ 0.05). Turkish version of the Sexual Attitudes and Belief Survey is a valid and reliable scale to evaluate nursing students' beliefs and attitudes that affect giving sexual counseling to the patients.
