Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning motivation and mathematics anxiety on metacognition awareness and its relation to mathematics learning outcomes of Urumb Public Middle School students. This type of research is "ex post facto". The population in this study were Urumb Public Middle School students in the 2019/2020 school year with a total sample of 123 students selected using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques using instruments: (1) Learning motivation has a significant direct effect on students 'metacognition awareness with a correlation coefficient of 0.916, (2) Mathematical anxiety has a significant direct effect on students' metacognition awareness with a correlation coefficient of 0.074, (3) Learning motivation has a direct effect significant to the mathematics learning outcomes of students 'correlation coefficient0.797, (4) Mathematical anxiety does not have a significant direct effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of students' correlation coefficients -0.067, (5) Awareness of metacognition does not significantly influence the mathematics learning outcomes of correlation coefficients 0.112, (6) Learning motivation has a significant indirect effect on student mathematics learning outcomes through awareness of correlation coefficient metacognition 0.102 and (7) Mathematical anxiety has a significant indirect effect on student mathematics learning outcomes through awareness of correlation coefficient metacognition 0.008.
