The title of this research is the application of customary law in conserving the customary forest of Karampuang, Bulupoddo District. This research was conducted with the intention of knowing how to apply customary law in preserving customary forests in Karampuang, Tompobulu Village, Bulupoddo District, Sinjai Regency. The method used in this study uses a qualitative approach. Types of case studies with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and informants in this study are: Karampuang traditional stakeholders, Tompobulu village government, Tompobulu village indigenous peoples and the Sinjai district environmental and forestry service. The data analysis technique used in this qualitative research is an interactive analysis technique. The collected data is then reduced and the data presentation is then concluded. Based on the results of research and discussion on the application of customary law in conserving customary forests, it has been carried out, but has not been effective becauseUntil now the status of customary forests in Karampuang is not clear, customary law and the imposition of sanctions in the preservation of customary forests in Karampuang are still weak, there are no regional regulations governing the status of Karampuang customary forests.
Abstrak Strategi pada hakikatnya perencanaan (planning) dan manajemen untuk mencapai suatu tujuan. Tetapi untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, strategi tidak hanya berfungsi peta jalan yang hanya menunjukkan arah saja, melainkan harus menunjukkan bagaimana teknik (cara) operasionalnya. Dalam banyak literatur, para ahli telah menjelaskan bahwa tema sentral dakwah adalah Islam. Arti dari pernyataan ini adalah dakwah sebagai implementasi dari publikasi ajaran agama Islam, menjadikan Islam sebagai wawasan dan basis ruang geraknya sekaligus. Demikian dekat derajat antara keduanya, sehingga Islam dan dakwah tidak memiliki celah Kecuali hanya terpaut dalam posisi ideologi dan aplikasi, atau antara ajaran dan pengalaman. Sebutlah Islam sebagai format dasar tentang konsep pedoman tingkah laku manusia tentang apa yang semestinya, maka dakwah adalah sebuah proses realisasi konsep ini secara implementatif. Sebagai implementasi dari sebuah konsep, seluruh kebijakan dakwah dan langkahnya tidak terlepas dari apa yang telah digariskan dalam konsep dasar tersebut. Dari sini dapat dipahami, bahwa dakwa tidaklah memiliki wujud yang berdiri sendiri, lebih dari itu, secara hakiki, dakwah adalah bentuk fisik-empiris dari ajaran Islam yang dari situ dakwah mengarahkan setiap kebijakan dan langkahnya. Maka tujuan dakwah sebenarnya tidak lain dari tujuan Islam itu sendiri yakni transformasi sikap kemanusiaan (attitude of humanity transformation) atau yang dalam terminologi al-Qur’an disebutkan al-ikhraj min al-zulumat ila al- nur Abstract Strategy is essentially planning (planning) and management to achieve a goal. So close in degree between the two, that Islam and da'wah have no gaps except only in ideological positions and applications, or between teachings and experience. Call Islam as the basic format of the concept of guiding human behavior about what should be, then da'wah is a process of implementing this concept. As the implementation of a concept, all da'wah policies and steps cannot be separated from what has been outlined in the basic concept.
