The main topic of this research is the relationship of stereotypes and masculinity of woman which is discussed based on a study of the main character in the novel Moana by Suzanna Francis. The research process uses intrinsic elements: characters, settings, conflicts, irony, and symbol, as well as extrinsic elements: gender, masculinity-femininity, stereotypes and symbolic violence. This research uses descriptive analytical methods and literature study techniques that produce stereotype findings that cause masculine trait of characters in the main character. The main character, suffered gender injustice of stereotypes and symbolic violence which can be seen from her father’s prohibition to let her go outside the reef. Upon the agreement, the main character was encouraged to go outside the reef by carrying out the mission of recovering and saving inhabitants of the village.Keywords: Masculine, stereotypes, gender injustice, symbolic violence, and woman.
Menanamkan pendidikan karakter hendaknya dimulai sejak dini, terutama di masa anak membedakan hal-hal berdasarkan visualisasi dan apa saja di dengar (anak usia dini). Penanaman karakter dapat dilakukan salah satunya dengan cara mendongeng dengan mengutamakan budaya lokal seperti penggunaan bahasa daerah misalnya Bahasa Jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kreativitas mahasiswa Universitas Ivet dalam membuat media mendongeng pada mata kuliah Bahasa Jawa AUD di masa pandemic covid-19. Metode yang digunakan yakni mixed methods antara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Sasaran penelitian ini terfokus membuat media mendongeng Bahasa Jawa untuk anak usia dini (AUD) pada mahasiswa PG-PAUD Universitas Ivet semester gasal 2020/2021 yang terdiri atas 30 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian kreativitas media mendongeng yang digunakan mahasiswa dalam mendongeng bahasa jawa antara lain multimedia, boneka, gambar, buku, dan tanpa menggunakan media pendukung lain. Hal ini menunjukkan sebagai calon guru atau pendongeng harus memiliki kemampuan dalam mengemas dongeng dan mengoptimalkan kemampuan dalam menyusun dan memilih media dongeng yang tepat. Mendongeng juga memiliki fungsi atensi, afektif, kognitif, dan kompensatoris bagi anak. Media dongeng yang tepat dan disesuaikan dengan karakteristik daerah seperti Jawa dapat membantu anak memperkaya kosakata dan imajinasi sehingga perkembangan anak menjadi lebih optimal.
